On this force-fed M260 it is the part that constrains the most: replacing it is the only way to gain power, and only paired with a remap. Without a remap you recover sound and a little weight off, not power. The 200-cell sport catalytic converter retains exhaust after-treatment; the 100-cell version and the catalyst-free variant do not.
