The ROG system replaces it with a valved system you control, without touching the engine or the ECU. Valves closed, you keep the comfortable stock sound. On this 2.0 turbo it is the part that smothers the most: replacing it is the only way to gain power, and only with a remap. Without a remap you recover sound and a little weight off, not power. The 200-cell sport catalytic converter retains exhaust after-treatment; the 100-cell version and the catalyst-free variant do not.
