The ROG system replaces it with a valved system you control, without touching the engine or the ECU. Valves closed, you keep the comfortable stock sound. On a naturally aspirated V8 its design really matters: lengths and geometry affect cylinder filling at high revs. With a remap the gain is real but modest, in the order of 3 to 8 %; badly designed, it costs you torque down low. The 200-cell sport catalytic converter retains exhaust after-treatment; the 100-cell version and the catalyst-free variant do not.
