On this naturally aspirated 2.0 its design really does the work: lengths and geometry govern cylinder filling at high revs. With a remap the gain is real but modest, in the order of 3 to 8 %. Badly designed, it loses you torque down low. The 200-cell sport catalytic converter retains exhaust after-treatment; the 100-cell version and the catalyst-free variant do not.
