On this turbo engine it is the part that smothers the most, and replacing it is the only way to gain power, provided you remap afterwards. Without a remap you will have sound and a little weight off. The 200-cell sport catalytic converter retains exhaust after-treatment; the 100-cell version and the catalyst-free variant do not.
