What Remus offers for the Golf 7 R and the Golf 7 GTI, what it costs, and what changes with a Rog system made from your Golf's VIN.

Remus and the Golf 7: what the catalogue says.

On its official online shop, Remus offers for the 221 kW Golf 7 R 2.0 TSI, from 2014 to 2020, a system with a mandatory centre silencer, an optional front silencer and a choice of four tips. For the 180 kW Golf 7.5 GTI Performance, from 2017 to October 2018, a system with a front silencer, a rear silencer for two or four outlets and a choice of tips. Both product pages state "without GPF": without particulate filter.

The Rog system, for its part, covers the Golf 7 R and 7.5 R from 2014 to 2019 and the Golf 7.5 GTI from 2017 to 2019, and adds valves.

The price of Remus on the Golf 7.

On the official Remus online shop, at the retail price checked in November 2026 with German VAT and in the default configuration, the Golf 7 R system is listed from around €2,100, the Golf 7.5 GTI system from around €1,300; titanium tips and the four-outlet version of the GTI cost more.

At Rog, the price is shown on the product pages: from €2,490 in stainless steel and €2,990 in titanium, for the Golf 7 R as for the Golf 7.5 GTI, valves and remote included, with free delivery.

The EA888 sound: your choice.

The Golf 7 R gets the 2.0 TSI EA888 with 300 to 310 hp, the Golf 7.5 GTI the 245 hp version from the GTI Performance. The Rog system lets you choose:

  • the character, at the same price: straight pipe for the raw sound of the 2.0 TSI, or resonator for a rounder, slightly softer voice;
  • the material: 304 stainless steel, or titanium about 40% lighter for the same design (+ €500), in a brushed, gold or purple finish;

  • the control, at the same price: your original valves, refitted on the system and still controlled by the drive modes, or Rog valves already fitted, with their remote;
  • the front section, as an option: 200-cell or 100-cell catalysed downpipe (+ €650 on the R, + €780 on the GTI), or decat (+ €420 on the R, + €500 on the GTI).

Valves open, the EA888 takes on a full voice, a real presence under load and crisp crackles on lift-off. Valves closed, the Golf goes back to being the discreet everyday hatchback, without drone. Four round tailpipes, fitting without welding with clamps and gaskets, in about two hours at the garage of your choice.

Does the Rog system fit a Golf 7 R as well as a 7.5 R?
Yes, both phases from 2014 to 2019 share the same system, in three-door as in five-door form. Your VIN confirms compatibility before manufacture.

Does the Golf 7.5 GTI diffuser need changing?
Yes: the Rog GTI system exits through four round tips and the original GTI has only two tailpipes. Plan for a suitable diffuser before fitting.
