Akrapovič BMW M2 G87: price, sound and alternative

The M2 G87 gets the S58 from the M3, tuned to 460 hp and then 480 hp on more recent versions. Yet its stock exhaust, designed for Euro 6d standards with a particulate filter, makes it very discreet, hence the question many owners ask: Akrapovič or something else? What Akrapovič offers for the M2 G87.

On its official page, Akrapovič describes its Slip-On Line (Titanium) for the M2 Coupé G87:

• a titanium rear muffler with two valves, one on each side, and two acoustic reflectors; the valve housings and collectors are cast in the brand's foundry; the mid-pipe stays stock;
• 7.3 kg less than stock, or 32.7%;
• carbon-sleeved tailpipes, octagonal or classic, ordered separately: the brand lists them as mandatory parts;
• a gain measured on the brand's dyno: 3.9 kW (5.3 hp) and 13.5 Nm at 2,800 rpm, without remapping;
• a sound that is smooth and rich when cruising, deeper and sportier under acceleration, with the brand's control kit;
• ECE type approval for the M2 Coupé and M2 CS (G87) fitted with the petrol particulate filter.

As on the M3, "Evolution" link pipes and downpipes are available as options for closed circuits; the link pipes remove the secondary catalytic converters and require a remap. A Sound Kit lets you control the valves from the cabin. Fitting any of these options voids the ECE type approval.

The price of an Akrapovič for the M2 G87: what to add up.

Akrapovič publishes no prices: its product page points you to a dealer in your country, who sets the price. For an M2 G87, a complete quote should include:

• the Slip-On Line (Titanium), part number S-BM/T/39H;
• a set of tailpipes, mandatory, chosen from three part numbers (TP-CT/68, TP-CT/69 or TP-CT/73/CF);
• as options, the Sound Kit P-HF1384, which voids the ECE type approval, and fitting at your garage.

At the public prices of the official Akrapovič agent in France (October 2026), the mandatory parts together cost from around €7,000: the Slip-On Line S-BM/T/39H and the TP-CT/68 set of tailpipes, the cheapest of the three. The Sound Kit and fitting are extra, and the final price depends on your dealer.

The product page mentions the brand's control kit without listing a part number to order separately, unlike the M3: ask the dealer what their quote includes. In any case, the stock mid-pipe stays in place.
