Jaguar F-Pace X761 Turbo petrol: a big cat to wake up, the exhaust system guide

The first SUV in Jaguar's history, the F-Pace X761 inherited the brand's sleek design and polished road manners. In petrol form, a 250 hp 2.0 turbo four-cylinder gives it lively performance for its size. But between the turbo and a highly restrictive factory exhaust, almost nothing comes out of the tailpipes. Follow this guide to choose the ROG exhaust that will finally give your F-Pace a voice.

The 2.0 turbo four-cylinder: the lively petrol heart of the F-Pace X761

The 2.0-litre petrol engine in the F-Pace X761 is a turbocharged, direct-injection four-cylinder. In the version used as the reference for this guide, it produces 250 hp and 365 Nm, enough to pull this SUV along with verve. The torque arrives early and spreads across a broad range, making everyday driving smooth and overtaking on the open road effortless.

On this engine, the turbo already absorbs some of the pulses, and the factory exhaust finishes the job: almost nothing comes out, whether at a standstill or under acceleration. The ROG valved exhaust takes its place, with no other work on the car. It gives the four-cylinder a more assertive, deeper presence, and lets you return to factory silence whenever the situation calls for it.

How the exhaust on your Jaguar F-Pace X761 Turbo petrol is put together

Here is what the ROG exhaust replaces, and where the sound is shaped.

The cat-back is the complete exhaust system

It is everything you can see under your Jaguar F-Pace X761 Turbo petrol, all the way to the tips: pipes, silencers, valves. This is the part where most of our research and development goes, the part that shapes the sound, and it fits without touching the engine or the ECU.

The figures for your Jaguar F-Pace X761 Turbo petrol

An exhaust system is judged first by ear and on the scales. The extra horsepower comes from an ECU remap.

Configuring your exhaust, step by step

3 choices, in the same order as the product page configurator.

  1. Step 1 of 3: Material: stainless steel or titanium

For your Jaguar F-Pace X761 Turbo petrol, the exhaust costs €2,190 in stainless steel and €2,690 in titanium.

    304 stainless steel

    €2,190

    Weight
    Baseline
    Sound
    Full and rounded

The safe bet: strong, corrosion-proof, with a full, rounded sound. The best value for money.

    Titanium

    €2,690

    Weight
    Around 40% lighter
    Sound
    Metallic, crystal-clear

It makes the exhaust around 40% lighter for the same design. Its note is more metallic and clearer higher up the rev range, and its finish ranges from brushed to blued.

No worries on durability: 304 stainless steel shrugs off winter road salt and titanium does not rust. Stainless steel or titanium: what really changes.

  2. Step 2 of 3: Valves: ROG remote or factory control

Two ways to control the valves on your Jaguar F-Pace X761 Turbo petrol.

    ROG remote

ROG remote for opening and closing the valves

A discreet control unit in the boot and a two-button remote: you open and close whenever you like, independently of the drive modes. For fitting, we support you by phone or by email.

    Factory control

    • Only for vehicles fitted with factory valves
    • Controlled by the drive modes

For vehicles fitted with factory valves: the exhaust connects to their control and the drive modes stay in charge, with no extra control unit.

At 130 km/h, many sports exhausts drone. Here, with the valves closed, the exhaust flows through the silencer and stays composed when cruising; open, it makes itself heard when you choose. More about exhaust drone.

  3. Step 3 of 3: Tips: the visual signature

Match the tips to the style of your Jaguar F-Pace X761 Turbo petrol, understated or bold. A particular finish in mind? Send us a photo and we will look at it together.

The ROG sound signature on the F-Pace X761

The F-Pace's turbocharged four-cylinder has a sportier voice than you might think: a crisp, slightly gravelly tone that thickens as you accelerate. As standard, you hear almost none of it, because the factory exhaust erases anything that might betray the engine's temperament.

With the valves closed, the F-Pace remains a calm, pleasant family SUV, on the motorway and in town alike. With the valves open, the big cat wakes up: a denser sound from start-up, a pronounced edge under acceleration, and an SUV that finally gets noticed as much by ear as by eye.
