The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 exhaust in detail.

A direct descendant of the brand’s founding engine, the Aventador LP700-4’s 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 develops 700 hp and 690 Nm and screams towards revs that few engines of this size reach, in cars built from 2011 to 2016. The Aventador S LP740 that succeeded it has its own system.

The factory exhaust does the regulatory job: it holds back what the standards require it to hold back. With the valves open, our valved cat-back gives the V12 back in full, a scream that climbs higher and a presence that becomes overwhelming, with bangs on the overrun. With the valves closed, the valves remain your civility switch for dawn departures.

The cat-back includes a slim silencer placed behind the exhaust’s X-pipe and joins the high central exit; it attaches with clamps and gaskets, without welding. The factory valves keep their control, or the Rog remote takes over. Between 304 stainless steel and titanium, the latter saves around 40% of the weight and comes in a brushed, chrome, gold or purple finish.

Under the “Manifold” option, the page here sells branched front pipes, catalysed or not, rather than complete cylinder head manifolds. Chosen in 200-cell form, these pipes leave the V12 with full emissions control; in 100-cell form, they are accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and without a catalytic converter they are reserved for track use. The naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder gains barely 3 to 8% once remapped.

Questions about the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 6.5 V12 exhaust.

Can the Aventador LP700-4 Roadster take this system?

Our supplier targets the 2011 to 2016 Aventador LP700-4 without distinguishing coupé and Roadster; its power figures are taken from the coupé. For a Roadster, the VIN sent before ordering lets us confirm the reference.

Does the Aventador LP700-4 have published Stage 2 figures?

Not on this page: the displayed figure is in US units and does not agree with the guide. On a naturally aspirated V12, expect a modest gain, 3 to 8% with the front pipes and an ECU remap.

Vehicle inspection for a modified Aventador: what should I plan for?

Present it with the valves closed, and the V12 then regains its standard restraint. With the cat-back alone or 200-cell front pipes, emissions control is retained. 100-cell pipes are admitted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules; in decat form, they make the Aventador a track car.

Does the Aventador LP700-4 need an ECU remap to fit the cat-back?

No: the V12 keeps its 700 hp and factory engine management with the cat-back. An ECU remap only comes into consideration with the front section, for a measured gain.
