The Lamborghini Aventador S / S Roadster LP740 exhaust in detail.
With the Aventador S, Lamborghini raised its 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 to 740 hp, a step above the LP700-4. It is the heart of the car, and every evolution has made it more extreme. This page covers the 2017 and 2018 model years; the LP700-4 has its own page, and the SVJ or Ultimae mentioned in the guide are not covered here.
Even on this version, the stock system filters out a good part of the voice before it reaches you. With the valves open, our valved cat-back lets the V12 take centre stage, with a scream that climbs higher and harmonics that fill the air; with the valves closed, the Aventador S becomes presentable again for journeys when you would rather go unnoticed.
No welding is involved: clamps and gaskets are enough to secure the system. The car’s valves keep their control, or the Rog remote takes over. In titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, the system can be ordered in brushed, gold or purple.
On the Aventador S, the “Manifold” option corresponds to front pipes, for which we use the LP740 variant, from a reference shared by several versions. With 200-cell catalysts, they keep emissions control; with 100 cells, they are accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country; in decat form, they are reserved for track use. As for power, the benefit of an ECU remap on this naturally aspirated V12 is limited to 3 to 8%.

Questions about the Lamborghini Aventador S / S Roadster LP740 6.5 V12 exhaust.
Can my Aventador SVJ take the Aventador S system?
No, the page targets the 2017 and 2018 Aventador S LP740. For an SVJ or an Ultimae, send us the VIN: we look at what exists before any order.
Is a Stage 2 published for the Aventador S?
No: the one on the page is expressed in US units and contradicts the guide, so we set it aside. Bear in mind that a naturally aspirated V12 only gains 3 to 8% with the front pipes and an ECU remap.
Does a fitted Aventador S need to go back to its factory exhaust for the vehicle inspection?
No: simply closing the valves is enough for the V12 to regain its stock restraint. Cat-back alone or 200-cell front pipes: emissions control stays in place. 100-cell pipes are accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and their decat version confines the car to the track.
Is the Aventador S Roadster compatible?
Yes. The Aventador S coupé and Roadster take the same Rog system: same chassis, same 740 hp V12, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Lamborghini Aventador S / S Roadster LP740 6.5 V12: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
