    FordFiesta ST Mk7

Which valved exhaust for a Ford Fiesta ST MK7?

The Rog system for the Ford Fiesta ST MK7 (2013-2017) is a valved cat-back exhaust in 304 stainless steel or titanium, built to your VIN for the 182 hp 1.6 EcoBoost, in both three- and five-door form. Valves open, the ST gains a full, snarling voice with the turbo audible; closed, the factory discretion returns for daily driving.

Sound, options and fitting in detail: our Ford Fiesta ST MK7 guide.

Small car, big character: the Fiesta ST MK7, sold from 2013 to 2017, entrusts its 182 hp and 240 Nm to a turbocharged EcoBoost engine with a lively response, a very popular tuning base in the Ford community. Its factory sound, calibrated for emissions standards, says nothing of that temperament.

It is often the first thing ST owners change. With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back gives the Fiesta a full, snarling voice, an audible turbo and crisp crackles on the overrun; with the valves closed, the factory discretion returns for everyday driving. The MK8 that succeeded it takes a different system, described on its own page, and we check every Fiesta’s VIN before manufacturing.

Under the city car, fitting takes about two hours, no welding, with clamps and gaskets; factory valve control if the car has it, the Rog remote otherwise, with a discreet box in the boot.

On such a light city car, the turbo leads into a downpipe carrying the catalytic converter, a part the page offers to replace under the “Manifold” option. Without an ECU remap, it brings sound and a few kilos less; with one, it becomes an ST’s lever for power, with a result that depends on the tuning. A Fiesta ST used every day will keep the 200-cell downpipe, with its emissions control intact; the 100-cell one will be accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat version is reserved for track use, for STs prepared for the track. As for material, the little ST takes 304 stainless steel as well as titanium, the latter removing around 40% of the weight and offered in three finishes.

Questions about the Ford Fiesta ST MK7 exhaust.

My Fiesta ST was built in 2018: does it still fall under the MK7 page?

The MK7 page stops at the 2017 model year, as the 2018 to 2023 MK8 has its own parts; your Fiesta’s VIN, checked before manufacturing, confirms the generation.

Is a dyno session useful on an equipped Fiesta ST MK7?

Not as long as the factory downpipe stays in place, the cat-back making do with the standard management; with the downpipe, this much sought-after EcoBoost base becomes far livelier after an ECU remap at an approved tuner, depending on the tuning.

Ford Fiesta ST MK7 with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?

Valves closed and a factory or 200-cell downpipe: the city car keeps a voice close to standard and an active catalytic converter. A 100-cell will be judged according to the car and your country, and a decat downpipe belongs only on the track.

200-cell or 100-cell for an everyday Fiesta ST MK7?

The 200-cell, which keeps emissions control and improves breathing. As for the 100-cell, it mainly concerns STs that are already remapped, with acceptance that varies according to the car and the country.

Does the Fiesta ST MK7 five-door take the same system as the three-door?

Yes for the European five-door, offered from 2016 with the same 182 hp 1.6 EcoBoost: it takes the same Rog system as the three-door. The North American five-door, with its longer bumper, has its own system. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.

Ford Fiesta ST MK7: Does a valved exhaust system drone?

No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
