The Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 and LP580-2 exhaust in detail.

The first-generation Huracán comes in two versions: the all-wheel-drive LP610-4, from 2014 to 2019, with 610 hp and 560 Nm, and the rear-wheel-drive LP580-2, from 2016 to 2019, with 580 hp and 540 Nm. Both receive the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10, which howls beyond 8,000 rpm. For more recent Huracáns, EVO, STO or Tecnica, refer to their pages.

The Huracán’s factory exhaust is not mute, but it remains sized for the regulations and holds back part of the V10’s fury. With the valves open, our valved cat-back unleashes it: higher harmonics, bangs on the overrun, physical presence. With the valves closed, the car stays civilised for getting from A to B.

On this supercar, fitting involves removing the rear bumper, but still without welding: the exhaust connects with clamps and gaskets. The factory valves keep their control; failing that, the Rog remote and its small box take care of them.

The “Manifold” option on the page replaces the V10’s manifolds and their catalytic converters; our supplier lists them in 304 stainless steel. On a Huracán that is still road-registered, the 200-cell manifolds keep emissions control and remain the sensible choice; the 100-cell ones are accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat ones are reserved for track use. With an ECU remap, the Huracán gains only 3 to 8%, like any naturally aspirated engine. The cat-back, for its part, comes in 304 stainless steel and titanium, the latter around 40% lighter and finished in brushed, chrome, gold or purple.

Questions about the Lamborghini Huracán LP580-2 / LP610-4 5.2 V10 exhaust.

Coupé or Spyder: which Huracán LP610-4 can take the system?

The supplier names the LP610-4 and the LP580-2 without mentioning the body style. A check of your Huracán’s VIN, before ordering, is enough to validate the reference.

What is published at Stage 2 for the Huracán LP610-4?

For the cat-back, the factory management is enough. With the manifolds and a full ECU remap, the page publishes 656 hp and 630 Nm for the LP610-4; for the LP580-2, the displayed figure is in US units and is not reproduced here.

Huracán LP580-2 fitted with the system: in which configuration should it go to the vehicle inspection?

With the valves closed, the V10 returns to a level close to factory. Keep the cat-back alone or 200-cell manifolds for full emissions control. 100-cell manifolds remain subject to the vehicle and your country’s rules, and without a catalytic converter the Huracán is destined for the track.

Why does fitting the system take longer on a Huracán?

Because the rear bumper has to be removed to reach the exhaust on this mid-engined supercar. No welding is needed for all that, and a workshop used to Lamborghinis handles it without difficulty.
