The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550, LP560 and LP570 exhaust in detail.
Three names, one engine: the Gallardo LP550-2, LP560-4 and LP570-4 share the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10, rated at 550, 560 or 570 hp depending on the version, with 540 Nm, on cars produced from 2010 to 2014. The first Gallardo with the 5.0 engine and the Huracáns that followed have their own exhaust.
All the appeal of this V10 is played out at high revs, beyond 8,000 rpm, and the factory exhaust keeps a good part of it to itself. With the valves open, our valved cat-back lets you hear all ten cylinders right to the top, with crisp bangs on lift-off; with the valves closed, the Gallardo crosses town without causing a riot. It is the sound, more than the figures, that justifies an exhaust on such an engine.
On the engine side, the “Manifold” option lives up to its name here and replaces the V10’s two manifolds, catalytic converters included; chosen in 200-cell form, they leave emissions control intact, while in 100-cell form they are accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and their decat version is reserved for track use. Do not count on them to transform the figures: on this non-turbo V10, the gain tops out at 3 to 8% after an ECU remap.
The exhaust exits through the original diffuser, after a weld-free installation with clamps and gaskets taking about two hours. The valves obey the factory control if present, otherwise the Rog remote. Titanium lightens the Gallardo’s system by around 40% compared with 304 stainless steel and comes in a brushed, gold or purple finish.

Questions about the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550 / LP560 / LP570 5.2 V10 exhaust.
Rear-wheel-drive LP550-2 or LP570-4: is the system the same?
The page covers the three 5.2-engined versions from 2010 to 2014. Whether it is two- or four-wheel drive, your Gallardo is identified by its VIN, checked before manufacturing.
Which Stage 2 figures are published for the Gallardo 5.2?
The cat-back, on its own, requires no ECU adjustment. With the manifolds and a full ECU remap, the page lists 620 hp and 609 Nm for the LP570-4, 604 hp and 588 Nm for the LP560-4, and 620 hp and 599 Nm for the LP550-2.
Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 / LP560-4 / LP570-4 5.2 V10 with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
Presented with the valves closed, it returns to a level close to factory. As long as the car keeps the cat-back alone or 200-cell manifolds, nothing changes for its emissions. With the 100-cell, the decision comes down to the vehicle and your country’s rules; in decat form, the Gallardo becomes a track car.
304 stainless steel or titanium: what do you recommend for a Gallardo LP570-4?
304 stainless steel offers a full bass and ages without worry. Titanium removes around 40% of the system’s weight and accentuates the metallic note at high revs; it comes in three finishes.
Do the Gallardo LP550-2, LP560-4 and LP570-4 Spyder take the same system?
Yes. The Gallardo 5.2 coupés and Spyders take the same Rog system: same chassis, same V10, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Lamborghini Gallardo LP550 / LP560 / LP570 5.2 V10: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
