Configuration
Maserati MC20 V6 Valved Exhaust (2020+)
Valves
Operated by remote control, paired in our workshop.
Estimated at 0.50 m from the outlet, 45°, 2,000 rpm with a warm engine. Allow ± 2 dB depending on the engine and measuring point. A 3 dB difference is audible in a direct comparison; 10 dB sounds roughly twice as loud.
Configuration guide
Sound intensity with the valves open, on a scale of 0 to 10.
| Configuration | Intensity |
|---|---|
| Decat downpipe + ROG cat-back | 10/10 |
| 100-cell sports catalytic converter + ROG cat-back | 9/10 |
| 200-cell sports catalytic converter + ROG cat-back | 8/10 |
| ROG cat-back only, factory catalytic converter retained | 7/10 |
| Factory exhaust, for comparison | 3/10 |
The Maserati MC20 V6 exhaust in detail.
The MC20 marks Maserati’s return to the supercar ranks, and its engine is the centrepiece: the twin-turbo Nettuno V6, developed by Maserati, uses pre-chamber combustion derived from Formula 1. It has delivered 630 hp and 730 Nm since 2020, with a technical, interesting sound that emissions standards nonetheless hold in check.
The Nettuno has a higher register to reveal. With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back unleashes a high-pitched, thoroughbred tone, total presence at high revs and sharp bangs on the overrun; with the valves closed, the Modena supercar becomes civilised again for discreet journeys, and like every Rog system, its own is only built after checking the VIN.
Even on a car of this calibre, installation remains simple: clamps, gaskets, no welding and about two hours, with the original valve control if it exists, or the Rog remote.
Just after the turbos, the downpipe carries the catalytic converter; the page replaces it under the “Manifold” option. Without an ECU remap, it acts on voice and weight; with one, it opens the way to power, but on an MC20 every project deserves a discussion with us before ordering. An MC20 driven on the open road will keep the 200-cell version and its emissions control; the 100-cell will be accepted or refused depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat part is intended solely for track use. Titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, fits the car’s philosophy.

Questions about the Maserati MC20 V6 exhaust.
Does the MC20 V6 system also cover the Cielo version?
Our sources only name the MC20, without distinguishing an open-top version; for a Cielo, checking the serial number before manufacturing will give us the answer.
Can the MC20’s Nettuno take the system without a new map?
Yes, the cat-back fits a Nettuno left on its factory management. The engine is designed with headroom, but an ECU remap with the downpipe is discussed case by case, before ordering.
Can the MC20 fitted with the system pass the vehicle inspection?
Presented with the valves closed, with the factory or 200-cell downpipe, the MC20 keeps an active catalytic converter and a voice close to standard; with the 100-cell, the decision lies with your country’s rules, and a decat MC20 only runs on the track.
What does the Rog system bring to the sound of the MC20’s Nettuno V6?
A higher register freed, with the valves open: a high-pitched, thoroughbred tone, full presence at high revs; once the valves are closed again, the car regains its factory restraint.
