The Maserati GranTurismo / GranCabrio V6 exhaust in detail.
The new-generation GranTurismo, launched in 2023, replaces its predecessor’s naturally aspirated V8s with a 490 hp, 600 Nm turbo V6. The Maserati engine keeps a recognisable Italian sound, warm and brassy, but the factory exhaust, calibrated for emissions standards, holds back a significant part of it.
With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back releases this Italian tone: expressive at high revs, punctuated by sharp crackles on the overrun. With the valves closed, the GranTurismo regains the discretion of a prestige grand tourer. Its V8 4.2 and 4.7 predecessors are covered by other pages, and the new GranTurismo is identified from its VIN before manufacturing.
Installation, with no welding, uses clamps and gaskets and takes about two hours; the original valve control is retained if the car has it, otherwise the Rog remote decides.
To go further, the “Manifold” option replaces the V6’s downpipe, which carries the catalytic converter; without an ECU remap, it affects voice and weight, and with a map it becomes a power lever depending on the tuning. On a grand tourer designed for long journeys, the 200-cell version keeps emissions control, the 100-cell will be judged according to the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat part remains reserved for track use. 304 stainless steel or titanium around 40% lighter: the GranTurismo takes both, in brushed, gold or purple for the latter.

Questions about the Maserati GranTurismo / GranCabrio V6 exhaust.
Can a previous-generation V8 GranTurismo adopt this V6 exhaust?
No: the GranTurismo V8 4.2 and 4.7 have their own pages and different parts, and the V6 introduced in 2023 is covered here, after checking the serial number.
Does the 2023 GranTurismo’s V6 need an ECU remap?
The factory engine management is enough for the cat-back; an ECU remap only concerns the downpipe, to turn the freed-up flow into power depending on the tune.
Does the GranTurismo V6 fitted with the system need its original downpipe back before the vehicle inspection?
Not necessarily: the 200-cell also keeps the catalytic converter active, and with the valves closed the GT returns to a voice close to standard. A GranTurismo with the 100-cell will be judged according to your country, and a decat GranTurismo remains reserved for the track.
Does the GranTurismo V6 fitted with the system keep its grand touring comfort?
Yes, as soon as the valves are closed, the GranTurismo V6 covers stage after stage without the slightest drone, and its Italian tone returns on demand, via the factory modes or the Rog remote.
Does the GranCabrio V6 take the same system as the GranTurismo?
Yes. The 490 hp GranCabrio V6, unveiled in 2025, uses the engine of the GranTurismo coupé and takes the same Rog system. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
