The A5 B10's 2.0 TFSI: a modern turbo tuned for discretion
Under the bonnet of the A5 B10, the 2.0 TFSI is a 2.0-litre direct-injection inline four-cylinder, boosted by a turbocharger. In this version, it produces 150 hp and 280 Nm. These are not the specifications of a sports car, but the torque arrives early and carries the car effortlessly: an engine designed for flexibility and long journeys, perfectly at home in a tourer of this size.
On a turbo engine, part of the sound is already absorbed by the turbine before it even reaches the exhaust. The A5's factory exhaust finishes the job, with silencers calibrated to make the engine disappear. The ROG exhaust touches neither the engine nor the ECU: it simply gives you back the choice. With the valves closed, the A5 remains the hushed car you know. Open, the 2.0 TFSI reveals a deeper, franker grain under acceleration.
