The Audi Q3 / Q3 Sportback F3 exhaust in detail.
The second-generation Q3, type F3, has been on sale since 2018; this page covers it in its 150 hp and 250 Nm turbocharged four-cylinder TFSI version, the figures used by the page and its guide. The five-cylinder RS Q3 F3 has its own system.
Modern and solid, this small TFSI was calibrated by Audi for economy and silence: in the stock SUV, its sound remains anonymous. With the valves open, our valved cat-back gives it a fuller tone and a few crackles on the overrun, without excess; with the valves closed, the Q3 becomes the discreet family-trip SUV again.
This model is one of the older pages carried over without a detailed technical specification: we check your VIN, in field E of the registration document, before any manufacturing, engine included. Installation, with no welding, comes down to clamps and gaskets, for about two hours; factory valves keep their control if they exist, and the Rog remote takes over on a Q3 without them.
Under the heading “Manifold”, the page sells the Q3’s downpipe, the part that follows the turbo and houses the catalytic converter. In 200-cell form, it keeps the emissions control of a family SUV; in 100-cell form, it is accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country; in decat form, it is reserved for track use, which concerns few Q3s. The small TFSI gains no power without an ECU remap, only voice. 304 stainless steel is the most common choice; titanium, around 40% lighter, comes in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Audi Q3 / Q3 Sportback F3 exhaust.
Which Q3 F3 is covered by this system?
The page is for the Q3 F3 with the 150 hp four-cylinder TFSI, on sale since 2018. For another engine, send us the VIN: we check before any manufacturing.
Does the Q3 F3’s map need changing with the system?
No, the cat-back alone gets along with the factory programme. With the downpipe, an ECU remap becomes useful to get power out of it; the Stage 2 figure shown on the page remains to be confirmed, so we do not repeat it.
Audi Q3 F3 TFSI with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the cat-back only or the 200-cell sports catalytic converter, emissions control is retained: present the car with the valves closed. The 100-cell brings more sound and flow, and whether it is accepted at the emissions test depends on the car and local rules; the decat version is intended for track use.
How long does it take to equip the Q3 F3?
The system, built to your VIN, arrives within 20 working days of confirmation, with no delivery charge; a garage then fits it in about two hours.
Does the Q3 Sportback F3 take the same system as the Q3?
Yes. The Q3 and the Q3 Sportback F3 take the same Rog system: same chassis, same TFSI engines, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Audi Q3 / Q3 Sportback F3: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi Q3 / Q3 Sportback F3: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
