The Audi RS Q8 4M exhaust in detail.
A 600 hp, 800 Nm coupé SUV: the RS Q8 4M receives the 4.0 TFSI, a twin-turbo V8 with its turbos housed in the vee, and this page covers its 2021 to 2024 model years. Our data names the RS Q8 and it alone; the SQ8, mentioned without confirmation, is not covered. The Q8 55 TFSI, with a turbo V6, is covered on another page.
Despite these figures, the factory RS Q8 stays muted: a central-turbo layout and cruising silencers keep the V8 hushed. Open the valves of this valved cat-back: the V8 rumbles from idle, drives its pick-up with authority and crackles loudly when you lift off. With the valves closed, the SUV becomes a grand tourer again, able to swallow a day of motorway without fatigue.
No welding to install the RS Q8 system: clamps, gaskets and about two hours on a lift are enough. The drive modes continue to control the factory valves; the Rog remote, whose box sits in the boot, is the other option.
The page also lists the “Manifold” option, which here means the two downpipes under the turbos, catalytic converters included. A 600 hp SUV that also carries children is best kept on 200-cell, with emissions control retained; the 100-cell versions are accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, while the decat version is reserved for track use. Without a reworked map, the 600 hp stays the same: you gain sound and a little weight saving. Between 304 stainless steel and titanium, the latter saves around 40% in weight and comes in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Audi RS Q8 4M 4.0 TFSI V8 exhaust.
Does the SQ8 share the RS Q8 system?
Not on the basis of this page: it only confirms the RS Q8. If you drive an SQ8, send us the VIN and we will check what exists before any order.
And an RS Q8 from 2021 or 2024?
The page covers the 2021 to 2024 model years, the range common to the cat-back and the downpipes in our data. An RS Q8 from another model year is checked case by case, using the VIN, before any manufacturing.
Remapped RS Q8: which figures are published?
The cat-back alone works with the factory engine management. The downpipes, once combined with a new map at an approved tuning centre, take the V8 to the 730 hp and 980 Nm published on the page.
What do I need to know about vehicle inspection for an RS Q8 with a valved exhaust?
With the valves closed, the V8 returns to a level close to that on delivery. Nothing changes for emissions control as long as the SUV keeps the cat-back alone or the 200-cell downpipes. 100-cell downpipes will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules; without a catalytic converter, the RS Q8 should only run on a circuit.
Audi RS Q8 4M 4.0 TFSI V8: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi RS Q8 4M 4.0 TFSI V8: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
