    AudiA6 / A7 / S6 / S7 / RS6 / RS7 C7

The Audi RS7 4G exhaust in detail.

Under the internal code 4G, the first RS7 Sportback, from 2013 to 2018, shares with the RS6 Avant of the same period the 4.0 TFSI, a twin-turbo V8 with its turbos housed in the vee, rated here at 560 hp and 700 Nm. The RS6 Avant C7 has its own page, established for the estate alone, and so does the more recent RS7 C8.

Massive torque, instant response, and a sound the factory exhaust keeps too discreet: between the hot-vee turbo layout and silencers designed for cruising, this V8 murmurs where it could rumble. With the valves open, our valved cat-back releases its pulse, deep at idle, authoritative when accelerating; with the valves closed, the five-door coupé becomes a hushed grand tourer again.

The RS6 Avant C7 system does not fit the RS7, whose rear section is specific to the Sportback: we check your VIN before any manufacturing. On a lift, about two hours is enough, without welding; the RS7 keeps controlling its valves through the drive modes, and the Rog remote is only used when there are no factory valves.

Under the “Manifold” label, the page actually sells the V8’s two downpipes, catalytic converters included. A five-door coupé of this size often serves as an everyday car: the 200-cell versions, which keep emissions control, suit it, while the 100-cell versions are accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country and the decat versions are reserved for track use. Without a modified map, the 560 hp stays untouched. 304 stainless steel for a full bass note, titanium around 40% lighter in three colours.

Questions about the Audi RS7 4G V8 exhaust.

    Why doesn’t the RS7 4G use the RS6 Avant C7 page?

Because the rear section differs: the RS7 Sportback 4G and the RS6 Avant C7 share the 4.0 TFSI V8, but each body style has its own rear section, and therefore its own page. This one covers the RS7 Sportback; your VIN confirms the system before manufacturing.

Is the 605 hp RS7 Performance covered?

Only the 560 hp RS7 appears on the page. For a Performance, send us the VIN before ordering and we will check the match.

Does an ECU remap change the RS7 4G much?

Not for the cat-back, which fits with Audi’s management. With the downpipes, it turns the flow into power; the Stage 2 figures on this page and the RS6 C7 page do not agree, so we quote neither.

Valved RS7 4G: what should be done before the vehicle inspection?

Close the valves, and the V8 returns to a grand tourer’s murmur. As long as the RS7 keeps the cat-back alone or 200-cell downpipes, its emissions control does not change. 100-cell downpipes are judged according to the vehicle and your country’s rules; without a catalytic converter, the RS7 belongs on the track.

Audi RS7 4G V8: Does a valved exhaust system drone?

No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.

Audi RS7 4G V8: straight pipe or resonator?

On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
