The Audi RS6 and RS7 C8 exhaust in detail.
Six hundred horsepower, 800 Nm, an estate and a four-door coupé: the RS6 Avant and the RS7 Sportback C8 share the 4.0 TFSI, a twin-turbo V8 with its turbos housed in the vee. Our page covers the 2021 to 2026 model years, those for which the cat-back and the front parts are both documented. The first-generation V8 RS6 Avant C7 has its own page, as do the V6 S6 and S7 C8.
Between the hot-vee turbo layout, which naturally filters the exhaust, and silencers sized for hushed cruising, this V8 whispers where it could roar. With the valves open, our valved cat-back removes the restrictions and brings back the engine’s real pulse: deep bass at idle, an authoritative climb, crisp crackles when you release the throttle. With the valves closed, your Audi becomes the discreet grand tourer it knows how to be.
The page also offers the “Manifold” option, which on this twin-turbo refers to the downpipes at the turbo outlets, with the catalytic converters. On a car that also carries passengers every day, the 200-cell versions are the ones that keep emissions control; the 100-cell versions are accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, while the decat version is reserved for track use. Without a modified map, the V8 stays at 600 hp and gains sound and a little lightness.
The oval tailpipes join the factory rear after fitting without welding, with clamps and gaskets, which takes about two hours on a lift. The driving modes continue to control the factory valves, or the Rog remote takes care of it if needed. 304 stainless steel gives the V8 a full voice, while titanium saves around 40% of the weight for the same design and can be chosen in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Audi RS6 / RS7 C8 4.0 TFSI V8 exhaust.
My RS6 C8 dates from 2020: can the system be fitted to it?
The page starts at the 2021 model year, the one retained for the front parts, even though the cat-back is documented on C8s from 2019. Send us your RS6’s VIN: we check the exact match before starting anything.
What figures does an RS7 C8 reach at Stage 2?
To fit the cat-back, nothing to remap. If you add the downpipes and entrust the car to an approved tuner, the page publishes 720 hp and 980 Nm for this 600 hp V8. A sports catalytic converter fitted without a suitable map may, however, light the RS7’s engine warning lamp.
RS6 Avant C8 at vehicle inspection: in what state should it be taken?
Close the valves first: the V8 regains the discretion of a stock estate. With the cat-back alone or the 200-cell downpipes, the gases stay treated as from the factory. The 100-cell versions are accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and a decat RS6 only runs on the circuit.
Stainless steel or titanium for the V8 of an RS7 C8?
304 stainless steel, robust against salt and damp, gives the V8 a round bass. Titanium, around 40% lighter for the same design, adds a more metallic note at high revs and lends itself to gold or purple finishes for the tailpipes.
Audi RS6 / RS7 C8 4.0 TFSI V8: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi RS6 / RS7 C8 4.0 TFSI V8: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
