    A question about this exhaust?

    AudiA6 / A7 / S6 / S7 / RS6 / RS7 C7

Which valved exhaust for an Audi RS6 Avant C7 or C7.5?

The Rog system for the Audi RS6 Avant C7 and C7.5 is a valved cat-back exhaust in 304 stainless steel or titanium, built to your VIN for the 560 hp twin-turbo V8 4.0 TFSI, or 605 hp in Performance form. Valves open, the V8, with its turbos inside the vee, finally rumbles at idle and revs with authority; closed, the estate turns discreet again for the family.

Sound, options and fitting in detail: our Audi RS6 Avant C7 guide.

The fastest estate of its generation is on this page: the RS6 Avant C7 and C7.5, from 2013 to 2018, with its 560 hp twin-turbo 4.0 TFSI V8, or 605 hp in Performance form, with 700 Nm. The RS7 Sportback C7 shares this V8, but not the rear section: it has its own page, and your VIN is checked before manufacturing. The RS6 and RS7 C8 have their own system, as do the S6 and S7 C7.

Despite these figures, the factory RS6 stays muted: turbos inside the V and silencers designed for cruising keep the V8 on a leash. With the valves open, our valved cat-back removes these restrictions: a deep rumble at idle, a commanding climb, crackles when you lift off. With the valves closed, the estate becomes discreet again for long family journeys.

Among the options, on this twin-turbo the “Manifold” option corresponds to the downpipes, which leave the turbos and carry the catalytic converters. On an estate that also carries the family, the 200-cell versions keep emissions control; the 100-cell versions are accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat versions are reserved for track use. Without an ECU remap, the V8 gains no horsepower, just sound and a little weight saving.

A lift, clamps, gaskets: the exhaust fits without welding in about two hours. The drive modes continue to control the factory valves; otherwise, the Rog remote opens and closes them at the push of a button. 304 stainless steel gives a full voice, titanium weighs around 40% less and can be chosen in brushed, gold or purple.

    Questions about the Audi RS6 Avant C7 / C7.5 4.0 TFSI V8 exhaust.

    I drive an RS7 C7: can I order the RS6 Avant system?

No, not this one: the RS7 Sportback C7 has the same 4.0 TFSI V8, but its rear section is specific to its body style. It has its own page, Audi RS7 4G, with the same clamp-and-gasket fitting; your VIN confirms the system before manufacturing.

Remapped RS6 C7 Performance: which figures are published?

The cat-back alone leaves the V8 with its factory tune. By adding the downpipes and a suitable map, the page lists 710 hp and 900 Nm for the 605 hp Performance, and 700 hp and 880 Nm for the 560 hp version.

Vehicle inspection: can a valved RS6 C7 be presented?

Yes, with the valves closed, with a V8 close to its factory level. Cat-back only or 200-cell downpipes: the RS6 keeps all its emissions control. If you opt for the 100-cell, acceptance depends on the vehicle and your country’s rules; in decat form, the RS6 is a track estate.

What is the manufacturing lead time for an RS6 Avant C7 system?

Each system is produced for a specific VIN; allow 20 working days from confirmation to delivery, with no shipping cost. Fitting then takes about two hours at the garage of your choice.

    Audi RS6 Avant C7 / C7.5 4.0 TFSI V8: Does a valved exhaust system drone?

No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.

    Audi RS6 Avant C7 / C7.5 4.0 TFSI V8: straight pipe or resonator?

On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
