Which valved exhaust for an Audi A6 or A6 Avant C7 2.0 TFSI?
The Rog system for the Audi A6 and A6 Avant C7 2.0 TFSI (2012-2018) is a valved cat-back exhaust in 304 stainless steel or titanium, built to your VIN for the 211 to 252 hp four-cylinder. Valves open, the A6 gains a full, sporty tone far richer than the thin factory sound; closed, it remains the hushed saloon for long journeys.
Sound, options and fitting in detail: our Audi A6 C7 2.0 TFSI guide.
A grand tourer from 2012 to 2018, the A6 C7 exists with a 2.0 TFSI turbocharged four-cylinder that our data lists in two versions: 211 hp and 350 Nm, then 252 hp and 370 Nm. The entire factory exhaust was designed so that you never hear it. The system is designed for the A6 C7 2.0 TFSI; the A7 is not documented in our records, so your VIN decides before manufacturing.
Yet the A6’s 2.0 TFSI hides a real temperament, which a well-designed system brings out. With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back gives it a full, sporty tone, much richer than the factory trickle of sound, with crackles on the overrun. With the valves closed, the A6 remains the hushed saloon for long journeys. The A6 C7 3.0 TFSI, S6 and S7 C7, RS6 C7 and A6 C8 each have their own page.
The system fits without welding, with clamps and gaskets, in about two hours, and has round tips. If your A6 has factory valves, the system retains their control; if not, the Rog remote, whose unit is stored in the boot, opens them at the press of a button.
The “Manifold” option on this page replaces the downpipe, the pipe that leaves the turbo and carries the catalytic converter. On an A6 that racks up long journeys, the 200-cell version almost chooses itself since it keeps emissions control; the 100-cell version is accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat is reserved for track use. If Audi’s map stays in place, expect only sound and a little less weight. In titanium, the system weighs around 40% less than in 304 stainless steel, with three finishes: brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Audi A6 / A6 Avant C7 2.0 TFSI exhaust.
Does this apply to my A6 C7 Avant 2.0 TFSI?
Yes. The A6 C7 2.0 TFSI saloon and Avant take the same Rog system: same chassis, same engine, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Does the 252 hp A6 C7 2.0 TFSI benefit from an ECU remap?
The cat-back works very well without it. It is the downpipe that makes it worthwhile: combined with a suitable map, it allows the published figures of 315 hp and 462 Nm to be reached for this version.
Audi A6 C7 2.0 TFSI with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, the saloon regains the hushed sound Audi gave it. On emissions, the cat-back alone and the 200-cell downpipe take nothing away from emissions control. Fitted in 100-cell form, the downpipe is judged according to the vehicle and your country’s rules, and without a catalytic converter the A6 becomes a track car.
Does the A6 / A6 Avant C7 drone on the motorway with the system?
No, with the valves closed: the gases pass through the silencer, designed for cruising, and the cabin stays calm at a constant speed. You open up whenever you wish.
Audi A6 / A6 Avant C7 2.0 TFSI: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
