The Audi A6 and A7 C8 3.0 TFSI exhaust in detail.
Plenty of torque, very little noise: the 3.0 TFSI in the A6 and A7 C8, a 340 hp, 500 Nm turbocharged V6 sold as the 55 TFSI, was tuned by Audi for performance without ostentation. This page covers both models, from 2019 to 2022. The A6 C8 2.0 TFSI, the S6 and S7 C8 with the 2.9 TFSI and the RS6 and RS7 C8 each have their own page.
The factory exhaust filters the V6 from end to end, to near-total silence. Open the valves on this valved cat-back and the V6 regains a muscular bass, present as soon as you accelerate, punctuated by crisp crackles when you lift off, without ever becoming tiring. With the valves closed, your A6 or A7 keeps its factory discretion on the motorway and in town alike.
In the workshop, no cutting: band clamps, gaskets and about two hours on a lift; the rear gets four round tailpipes. If the car has factory valves, the drive modes decide; otherwise, the Rog remote, with its box in the boot, operates them on demand.
The “Manifold” option on the page replaces the V6’s downpipe, the part that carries the catalytic converter at the turbo outlet. Daily drivers will take it with 200 cells, with emissions control intact; with 100 cells, it is accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat version is reserved for track use. With the ECU left stock, the 340 hp does not change: it brings sound and a little less weight. In titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel, the system comes in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Audi A6 / A6 Avant / A7 C8 3.0 TFSI V6 exhaust.
Is the A7 Sportback C8 55 TFSI covered in the same way as the A6?
Yes, our page names the A6 and A7 C8 3.0 TFSI from 2019 to 2022. Your VIN is still checked before manufacturing, as with every order.
Which Stage 2 for the A6 C8 55 TFSI?
The cat-back alone requires no ECU remap. The downpipe, combined with an ECU remap at an approved tuning centre, leads to the published Stage 2 figures: 420 hp and 680 Nm.
Vehicle inspection: what should I do with a valved A7 C8?
Close the valves and the V6 becomes as discreet as on delivery day. Whether the car has the cat-back alone or the 200-cell downpipe, the gases stay treated. For the 100-cell downpipe, the verdict depends on the car and the rules in your country; the decat one turns the A7 into a track car.
On the A6 C8 3.0 TFSI, who controls the valves?
You choose when you configure the system. Factory control: the drive modes open and close the valves. Rog remote: two buttons, whatever mode is engaged.
Does the A6 Avant C8 55 TFSI take the same system as the saloon?
Yes. The A6 C8 saloon and Avant take the same Rog system: same chassis, same 3.0 TFSI V6, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Audi A6 / A6 Avant / A7 C8 3.0 TFSI V6: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi A6 / A6 Avant / A7 C8 3.0 TFSI V6: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
