Which valved exhaust for an Audi A6 or A6 Avant C8 2.0 TFSI?
The Rog system for the Audi A6 and A6 Avant C8 2.0 TFSI (45 TFSI) is a valved cat-back exhaust in 304 stainless steel or titanium, built to your VIN for the 245 hp, 370 Nm four-cylinder. Valves closed, the large saloon keeps its factory volume on the motorway; open, it gains a full, sporty tone.
Sound, options and fitting in detail: our Audi A6 C8 2.0 TFSI guide.
The A6 C8 45 TFSI moves along with a 2.0 turbo four-cylinder producing 245 hp and 370 Nm, and a factory exhaust designed so you never hear it. The page covers 2019 to 2021 and targets the A6: no A7 is documented in our records for this engine, so your VIN is checked before manufacturing. The other C8s, from the 3.0 TFSI V6 to the S6, S7, RS6 and RS7, have separate pages.
Beneath its discretion, the TFSI keeps a character that the factory exhaust erases. With the valves open, our valved cat-back gives it a full, sporty and rewarding tone, with crisp crackles when you lift off. With the valves closed, the large saloon returns to a volume close to how it was delivered, perfect for business trips.
Nothing is welded: the system is fixed with clamps and gaskets, in about two hours, with round tailpipes. If the car has factory valves, the drive modes stay in control; otherwise, the Rog remote, whose box sits in the boot, opens and closes them at the press of a button.
The page also sells the “Manifold” option, which on this turbo engine corresponds to the downpipe carrying the catalytic converter. Chosen in 200-cell form, this downpipe leaves the A6 with full emissions control, which suits a high-mileage car; in 100-cell form, it will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, whereas its decat version, reserved for track use, makes little sense on a saloon like this. Without an ECU remap, the 245 hp stay put; it adds sound and lightens the whole a little. 304 stainless steel is the most popular material; titanium, around 40% lighter, comes in three finishes: brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Audi A6 / A6 Avant C8 2.0 TFSI exhaust.
Is my A6 C8 45 TFSI Avant compatible?
Yes. The A6 C8 45 TFSI saloon and Avant take the same Rog system: same chassis, same 2.0 TFSI, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Does the A6 C8 45 TFSI benefit from a modified map?
For the cat-back, the 45 TFSI keeps its Audi engine management without any issue. An ECU remap becomes relevant if you add the downpipe, as it is what turns the freed-up flow into power; no Stage 2 figure is published for this version.
Audi A6 C8 2.0 TFSI with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
Present it with the valves closed: the four-cylinder regains its discretion. As long as the A6 runs with the cat-back alone or a 200-cell downpipe, nothing changes for emissions control. A 100-cell is accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, whereas the decat A6 only runs on the track.
For a high-mileage A6 C8, which material is best?
304 stainless steel resists salt and damp and gives a full sound. Titanium lightens the system by around 40% for the same design, sounds more metallic at high revs and does not rust.
Audi A6 / A6 Avant C8 2.0 TFSI: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi A6 / A6 Avant C8 2.0 TFSI: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
