The Lexus RC200t XC10 2.0 Turbo exhaust in detail.
The 2016 RC200t is a rear-wheel-drive coupé powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder: 245 hp and 350 Nm, with torque available over a wide range that makes it lively when accelerating and easy to live with day to day, far from the image of a purely status-driven coupé. Its factory exhaust, designed for refinement, nonetheless reduces this engine to a faint breath.
The four-cylinder’s voice is dry and eager, with a hoarser note when the turbo kicks in. With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back gives it a full, assertive sound that accompanies every acceleration and adds depth to gear changes; with the valves closed, the RC regains the serenity expected of a Lexus.
This page is for the 2016 model year RC200t; the V6 RC350 and the V8 RC F have their own, and your VIN is checked before manufacturing. The system fits without welding, using clamps and gaskets, in about two hours, with the factory valve control or, failing that, the Rog remote.
The RC200t’s turbo is followed by a downpipe carrying the catalytic converter, which the page offers to replace under the “Manifold” option. Fitted on its own to a non-remapped coupé, this part affects the sound and the weight, not the 245 hp; remapped, the RC200t reaches the 330 hp and 460 Nm published for Stage 2. For an RC200t driven every day, the 200-cell downpipe is the only one that retains emissions control, the 100-cell will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat version is reserved for track use, where this rear-wheel-drive coupé rarely goes. Finally, the RC200t’s own round tailpipe comes in tough 304 stainless steel or in titanium, around 40% lighter and offered in three finishes.

Questions about the Lexus RC200t XC10 2.0 Turbo exhaust.
Can the RC300, or an RC200t from another model year, take this system?
The page is for the 2016 RC200t, and the RC300 is not validated; for any other version, it is the check of your VIN, before manufacturing, that will tell whether the system fits.
On the RC200t XC10, when does an ECU remap become useful?
When the downpipe joins the cat-back: it is the map that turns this flow into power, up to the 330 hp and 460 Nm published for Stage 2. The cat-back alone, for its part, works with the factory ECU.
Vehicle inspection: in which configuration should the modified RC200t be presented?
Valves closed, with the factory or 200-cell downpipe, so that the catalytic converter stays active: the coupé then returns to a stock sound. In 100-cell form, everything depends on the vehicle and the country, and the decat version is reserved for the circuit.
200-cell or 100-cell: which downpipe for an everyday RC200t 2.0 Turbo?
For everyday use, the 200-cell: emissions control is retained and breathing improves. As for the 100-cell, it is aimed at coupés that are already remapped, and its acceptance depends on the vehicle and your country’s rules.
Lexus RC200t XC10 2.0 Turbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Lexus RC200t XC10 2.0 Turbo: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
