Which valved exhaust for a Mercedes-AMG C43 W206 or S206?
The Rog system for the Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC W206 and S206 estate is a valved cat-back exhaust in 304 stainless steel or titanium, built to your VIN for the 408 hp, 500 Nm 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder. Valves open, the C43 regains a full, aggressive tone; closed, it stays as civilised as the day it was delivered.
Sound, options and fitting in detail: our Mercedes-AMG C43 W206 guide.
Four cylinders, 2.0 litres, 408 hp and 500 Nm: since 2022, the C43 W206 has replaced its predecessor’s V6 with a smaller, sharper engine, at more than 200 hp per litre. A high-strung engine whose technology comes straight from motorsport, which the factory system and the particulate filter render almost mute. Its V6 predecessor, the C43 W205, and the four-cylinder 1.5-litre C200 W206 are presented on other pages.
With the valves open, the Rog cat-back gives it back its bite: a full, aggressive tone, immediate presence, rich crackles when you lift off the throttle. With the valves closed, the saloon becomes as civilised as on delivery. Whether you call it a valved exhaust or a valve exhaust, the principle stays the same: you choose the volume.
Made to your VIN, the system fits in about two hours, with clamps and gaskets, no cutting. The drive modes keep control of the factory valves if the car has them; otherwise, the two-button Rog remote takes care of it.
Under the “Manifold” option, the page offers the downpipe of this 2.0-litre turbo, with its catalytic converter. The 200-cell version keeps emissions control and remains the C43’s road configuration. The 100-cell version, accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, calls for more caution on an everyday saloon; the decat version, for its part, is reserved for track use. No Stage 2 figure is published for the C43 W206; without an ECU remap, the part adds no horsepower. For the material, the C43 is often happy with 304 stainless steel; titanium, around 40% lighter, comes in three finishes.

Questions about the Mercedes-AMG C43 W206 / S206 2.0 turbo exhaust.
Can I fit the C43 W206 system to the earlier V6 C43 W205?
No. The two generations share neither the same engine nor the same system: the C43 W205 3.0 V6 has its own page. This one targets the C43 W206 2.0 turbo, on sale since 2022. We use your VIN to check before manufacturing.
Should I plan an ECU remap on a C43 W206 receiving the downpipe?
The cat-back alone does not need one. For the downpipe, the ECU remap is what converts the flow into power; as no Stage 2 figure is published for this engine, the result will depend on the tuner. A sport catalytic converter can also trigger the engine warning light.
How should a C43 W206 be presented at vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, for a sound close to ex-factory, and with the cat-back alone or the 200-cell downpipe, which retain emissions control. A C43 W206 fitted with the 100-cell will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules; the decat version is reserved for track use.
Does the C43 W206 drone when cruising?
With the valves closed, no: the flow passes through the silencer, designed for long journeys. The valves only open when you ask, through the drive modes or the Rog remote.
Does the C43 S206 estate take the same system as the saloon?
Yes. The W206 saloon and the S206 estate take the same Rog system: same chassis, same 2.0-litre turbo, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Mercedes-AMG C43 W206 / S206 2.0 turbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Mercedes-AMG C43 W206 / S206 2.0 turbo: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
