Mercedes-AMGGLA35 / GLA45 S H247
The Mercedes-AMG GLA35 H247 exhaust in detail.
The GLA35 H247 is a playful compact SUV, powered by the M260: 2.0 litres, twin-scroll turbo, 306 hp and 400 Nm sent to all four wheels, with torque available over a wide range. This page covers the 2020 and 2021 GLA35, with no extension to later model years; the GLA45 S of the same generation has its own page.
Its AMG four-cylinder has a hoarse, eager voice, with a hint of roughness under hard acceleration, but the factory exhaust lets only a distant echo through. The valved Rog cat-back delivers a start-up with real presence and a frank sound every time you accelerate, in tune with the car’s temperament. Closed, the valves bring it back to calm, at or close to the original level.
No drilling or welding on this SUV: built for your VIN, the system is tightened onto clamps and gaskets, and the job takes about two hours. Two control modes coexist: the original control if the SUV has factory valves, or the Rog remote and its box in the boot.
To go further, the “Manifold” option replaces the M260’s downpipe, the catalysed part that follows the turbo. Choose 200-cell to keep emissions control. Beyond that, the 100-cell will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and its decat cousin is reserved for track use: neither is an everyday setting. Power comes with the ECU remap, not with the part alone. Titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, also adds a colour: brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Mercedes-AMG GLA35 H247 2.0 turbo exhaust.
My GLA35 H247 dates from 2022: does the page apply?
Our page stops at 2021: the 2020 and 2021 GLA35 H247 is covered, later model years are not proven. Send us your VIN; we check before manufacturing and reply with no obligation.
Is an ECU remap of the GLA35 H247 essential?
Not at all for the rear system alone. With the downpipe, the ECU remap makes the difference: the page quotes 370 hp and 510 Nm in Stage 2. The result also depends on maintenance and the tuner, as our GLA35 guide points out.
GLA35 H247 and the vehicle inspection: which settings should I use?
Close the valves and keep the cat-back alone or the 200-cell downpipe: the catalytic converter works and the SUV sounds as it did leaving the factory, or very nearly. The 100-cell is not a given everywhere; it depends on the car and the country. Decat: track use only.
Does the GLA35 keep its factory valve control?
If it has them from the factory, yes: the exhaust connects to them and the drive modes keep opening and closing them. Otherwise, the two-button Rog remote works independently of the selected programme.
Mercedes-AMG GLA35 H247 2.0 turbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
