    A question about this exhaust?

    The Mercedes-AMG GT63 C192 exhaust in detail.

The C192 coupé marks a break in the history of the AMG GT: AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive as standard for the first time, a composite aluminium body that frees up a 2+2 cabin, and an architecture shared with the SL R232. At its heart, the M177, a hand-assembled 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with turbos in the vee: 585 hp and 800 Nm in the GT63, from the 2024 model year onwards.

The V8 is there, but you only half hear it: the C192 generation lost in thunder what it gained in civility. The Rog cat-back, valved or with valves as some call it, gives the AMG V8 back its deep, rolling rumble and its bangs on the overrun; closed, it leaves the coupé its grand touring comfort.

On the C192, this page sells only the rear system. No front section is offered: the C192 platform uses specific downpipes that we do not list. The original catalytic converter therefore stays in place, along with emissions control, and the ECU is not touched.

Every GT63 C192 system starts from your VIN and is fitted in about two hours; clamps and gaskets are enough, no welding is done. The drive modes control the factory valves if the coupé has them; otherwise, the Rog remote. The page is for the GT63; the GT55 is not included, and the four-door GT63 X290 has its own page. As for materials, titanium saves around 40% in weight on a car already built around aluminium; 304 stainless steel remains the most common choice.

    Questions about the Mercedes-AMG GT63 C192 4.0 V8 biturbo exhaust.

Can an AMG GT55 C192 or a GT63 S take this exhaust designed for the GT63?

Our page does not mention the GT55, and the GT63 S name is not established there: it targets the GT63 C192 built since 2024. Send us your coupé’s VIN: we check before starting manufacturing, with no obligation.

Is an ECU remap planned with the GT63 C192’s exhaust?

No: the system stops behind the original catalytic converter and the AMG map stays unchanged. The page publishes no Stage 2 figure for this coupé, and no downpipe is sold for it.

Does anything need changing on an AMG GT63 C192 fitted with the system before its vehicle inspection?

Only the valves: with no front section on this page, the factory emissions control is intact. Close the valves before the test to get back a sound level close to standard; no 100-cell or decat version is offered here.

Why is no downpipe offered for the GT63 C192?

Because this platform, shared with the SL R232, receives specific downpipes, different from those of the GT63 X290. They are not listed in our records: we would rather sell nothing than an uncertain part.

    Mercedes-AMG GT63 C192 4.0 V8 biturbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?

No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.

The second AMG GT changed everything: all-wheel drive as standard, a 2+2 cabin and an architecture shared with the SL R232. What has not changed is the hand-built 4.0 twin-turbo V8, and the muzzle that recent regulations impose on it....
