The Mercedes-Benz CLA250 C118 / X118 exhaust in detail.
When given a proper voice, a turbocharged four-cylinder sounds lively and slightly metallic, taking on a muffled grain as boost rises. In the CLA250 C118, that voice almost disappears: you hear the wind and the tyres more than the engine, even under hard acceleration. That is the gap this page fixes, set up for 2022 to 2025 CLA250s and their transversely mounted M260 2.0-litre turbo, with 224 hp and 350 Nm.
The Rog valved cat-back, also known as a valve exhaust, gives this four-door coupé a full sound at start-up and a sporty note under acceleration, in keeping with its roofline. With the valves closed, it regains the refinement of a Mercedes on long motorway journeys. The CLA200 is not concerned, and the CLA35 and CLA45 S of the same generation have their own page.
Built to your VIN, fitted with clamps and gaskets without cutting, about two hours on a lift. Two control options: the factory system if your CLA250 has factory valves, otherwise the Rog remote, linked to a box in the boot.
Under the option name “Manifold”, the page offers the M260’s downpipe, the same part as on the CLA35 according to specialist manufacturers. The 200-cell sports catalytic converter keeps emissions control and suits the road. For the 100-cell version, the inspector’s verdict depends on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat version is reserved for track use, far from a CLA250’s daily journeys. Without an ECU remap, expect a change in sound and a slight weight saving, not extra horsepower. 304 stainless steel, or titanium around 40% lighter in three finishes.

Questions about the Mercedes-Benz CLA250 C118 / X118 2.0 turbo exhaust.
As the owner of a CLA200 C118, can I fit the system designed for the CLA250?
No, our page only targets the 2022 to 2025 CLA250 2.0 turbo and excludes the CLA200. On the AMG side, the CLA35 and CLA45 S each have their own page. Send us your VIN: we confirm compatibility before building.
Is an ECU remap useful on the CLA250?
The cat-back does without one, and the factory map sees no difference. With the downpipe, it becomes the only way to extract power: the page lists 265 hp and 470 Nm in Stage 2, against 224 hp and 350 Nm as standard.
Mercedes-Benz CLA250 C118 2.0 turbo with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the cat-back only or the 200-cell sports catalytic converter, emissions control is retained: present the car with the valves closed. The 100-cell brings more sound and flow, and whether it is accepted at the emissions test depends on the car and local rules; the decat version is intended for track use.
On the motorway, does the CLA250 stay hushed?
Yes, with the valves closed: the gases take the silencer route and cruising stays calm, with no resonance. You open them with a single gesture on entering a town or a winding road, then close them before rejoining the motorway.
Does the CLA250 Shooting Brake X118 take the same system?
Yes. The C118 four-door coupé and the X118 Shooting Brake take the same Rog system: same chassis, same engine, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Mercedes-Benz CLA250 C118 / X118 2.0 turbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
