    A question about this exhaust?

    MercedesCLE C236 / A236

    The Mercedes-Benz CLE300 C236 / A236 exhaust in detail.

The CLE is the elegant large coupé of the Mercedes range, and its CLE300 C236 version entrusts its 258 hp and 400 Nm to a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, the M254. Efficient, frugal, but acoustically neutral: the gap between the silhouette and the silence is real. The C236 generation dates from 2023; as our page does not specify model years, the check is done using the VIN, before manufacturing.

Good news: Mercedes turbocharged four-cylinders respond very well to a well-engineered exhaust. The Rog cat-back, valved or with valves, gives the M254 a full, flattering tone, far richer than the thin factory sound, with clear crackles on the overrun when the valves are open. Closed, they give the coupé back its quiet elegance.

Fitting with clamps and gaskets, no welding or cutting, about two hours in the workshop. If your CLE300 has factory valves, their control stays in place; otherwise, the Rog remote and its small box are stowed in the boot. The six-cylinder CLE53 AMG has its own page.

Here the “Manifold” option corresponds to the M254’s downpipe, the same as on the C300 W206 according to specialist manufacturers. For the coupé, the 200-cell is the sensible version, as it keeps emissions control. The 100-cell will be accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country; the decat version is reserved for track use, somewhere a CLE300 rarely goes. Only an ECU remap turns this part into power. 304 stainless steel matches the coupé’s understated style; titanium, around 40% lighter, comes in any of its three colours.

    Questions about the Mercedes-Benz CLE300 C236 / A236 2.0 turbo exhaust.

    Can a CLE200 take the CLE300 C236’s exhaust?

Our page only names the CLE300 C236 2.0 turbo, never the CLE200. For any other version, send us the VIN: we check before manufacturing, with no obligation.

Is an ECU remap needed on the CLE300 C236?

The rear system alone requires none. If you add the downpipe, an ECU remap at an approved tuning centre turns it into power; the page lists no Stage 2 figure for this coupé. On a turbocharged four-cylinder, the system alone mainly affects breathing and sound.

Vehicle inspection: does a modified CLE300 C236 call for any precautions?

Just one, close the valves: the coupé then returns to a stock volume. With the cat-back alone or 200 cells, emissions control stays original. The 100-cell version should only be presented after checking: it is accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country. Finally, the decat version of the coupé is reserved for track use.

How long does it take to fit out a CLE300?

Once the VIN is checked, the exhaust is manufactured for your car: 20 working days until delivery, free tracked delivery. That leaves fitting, about two hours, entrusted to the garage of your choice.

Does the CLE300 A236 convertible take the same system as the coupé?

Yes. The C236 coupé and the A236 convertible take the same Rog system: same chassis, same 2.0-litre turbo, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.

    Mercedes-Benz CLE300 C236 / A236 2.0 turbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?

No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
