The Audi S5 8T 3.0 TFSI V6 exhaust in detail.
After the facelift, the 8T S5 swapped its V8 for a 3.0 TFSI: a supercharged V6 rated at 333 hp and 440 Nm for the 2012 to 2016 model years. Its torque arrives instantly, with no lag. This car overlaps with the “S4 / S5 B8 3.0 TFSI V6” page, based on a detailed technical specification; the naturally aspirated V8 S5 8T has its own page too.
Audi tuned this engine for performance without ostentation, and the factory exhaust takes discretion almost to the point of silence. With the valves open, our valved cat-back reveals a muscular bass, assertive under load, with crisp crackles on the overrun; with the valves closed, the S5 returns to its refined coupé reserve, never tiring on a long journey.
Because this page comes from the previous catalogue, we compare your VIN with our technical reference before building, and direct you to the S4 / S5 B8 page if needed. No welding to fit it: clamps, gaskets and about two hours; the factory valve control stays active, or the Rog remote, hidden in the boot, takes its place.
The “Manifold” option sold here replaces the parts just after the V6, which carry the catalytic converters. For a coupé still used every week, the 200-cell version is the most logical since it keeps emissions control; the 100-cell one is accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat is reserved for track use. Without a revised map, the supercharger does not deliver a single extra horsepower. 304 stainless steel and titanium, around 40% lighter and offered in three colours, are both available.

Questions about the Audi S5 8T V6 exhaust.
Which page for a 2014 S5 3.0 TFSI: S5 8T V6 or S4 / S5 B8?
Same supercharged V6 on both pages, but different bases: the S4 / S5 B8 page is based on a detailed technical reference, while this one comes from the old catalogue. Your VIN lets us decide before any order.
Does the S5 8T V6’s supercharger require a new map?
Not for the cat-back: the original engine management is enough and the V6 keeps its 333 hp. With the front section, an ECU remap becomes relevant; the Stage 2 figure on this page differs from the one on the S4 / S5 B8 page, so we do not repeat it.
Before vehicle inspection, which settings for a modified S5 8T V6?
The valves should be closed, for a V6 brought back to standard discretion. With the cat-back alone or a 200-cell front section, emissions remain those of the standard car. A 100-cell will be judged according to the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat version has no place anywhere but on track.
S5 8T Coupé, Sportback or Cabriolet: is the system the same?
Coupé or convertible, the system is the same. The S5 Sportback has its own rear section: for it, your VIN lets us check before manufacturing.
Audi S5 8T V6: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi S5 8T V6: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.

The facelifted S5 8T moved to the supercharged 3.0 V6: more torque, less voice than the V8 it replaced. It is the classic owner's regret. Our exhaust fills precisely that gap: the supercharged V6 reveals a full-bodied sound that the...
