The Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8J exhaust in detail.
The TTS 8J draws 272 hp and 350 Nm from its 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, a 2.0 TFSI from the EA113 family paired with quattro drive. Our page covers the 2009 to 2013 model years: neither 2008 nor 2014 is proven, and your VIN decides. The 211 hp TT 8J 2.0 TFSI and the TTS 8S that succeeds it each have their own page.
On this small coupé, the factory exhaust spends its time smoothing the noise to make it acceptable every day, leaving only an anonymous sound. Freed by our valved cat-back, the TFSI takes on a full, sporty tone, punctuated by crackles on lift-off. Closed, the valves send the gases back into the silencer and the TTS becomes an everyday car again.
Unlike the TT 8J 2.0 TFSI, this page sells the “Manifold” option, which on the TTS corresponds to the downpipe leaving the turbo with the catalytic converter. If your TTS is still your daily commuter, keep the 200-cell downpipe, which maintains emissions control; the 100-cell is accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat version is reserved for track use. Without an ECU remap, the 272 hp stay unchanged: the gain lies in the sound and a little weight saving.
Fitting requires clamps, gaskets and about two hours, without welding, with round tips. The valves respond to the factory control if it exists, otherwise to the Rog remote. As for material, the TTS takes 304 stainless steel, with its round sound, as well as titanium, around 40% lighter and finished in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8J 2.0 TFSI exhaust.
Can the TTS 8J downpipe be fitted to the 211 hp TT 8J?
No, it is designed for the TTS engine and is not guaranteed on the TT 2.0 TFSI’s EA888. That is why the TT 8J page only offers the cat-back.
Which Stage 2 figures for the TTS 8J?
The cat-back alone does without an ECU remap. The published figure, 315 hp and 462 Nm, assumes the downpipe and a reworked map at an approved tuning centre.
Audi TTS 8J 2.0 TFSI with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, the little coupé becomes as discreet as when it left the factory. The cat-back alone and the 200-cell downpipe keep emissions control. In 100-cell form, the outcome depends on the vehicle and your country’s rules; the TTS without a catalytic converter only goes out on track.
When will I be able to drive my modified TTS 8J?
Allow 20 working days after confirmation, the time it takes to build the system to your VIN and deliver it free of charge. A garage then fits it in about two hours.
Coupé or Roadster: does the TTS 8J 2.0 TFSI take the same system?
Yes. The coupé and the Roadster take the same Rog system: same chassis, same engine, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8J 2.0 TFSI: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8J 2.0 TFSI: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
