Configuration
Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8S 2.0 TFSI Valved Exhaust System (2015-2019)
Valves
Operated by remote control, factory-paired.
Estimated at 0.50 m from the outlet, 45°, 2,000 rpm with a warm engine. Allow ± 2 dB depending on the engine and measuring point. A 3 dB difference is audible in a direct comparison; 10 dB sounds roughly twice as loud.
Configuration guide
Sound intensity with the valves open, on a scale of 0 to 10.

The Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8S exhaust in detail.
The TTS 8S pushes the 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder to 310 hp and 380 Nm, and its factory exhaust is designed so that none of this thrust can be heard from outside. This page covers the 2015 to 2019 TTS 8S, before the facelift; the more recent versions, stated at a different output, are not listed. For the base TT 8S as for the five-cylinder TT RS, see the dedicated pages.
With the valves open, our valved cat-back gives the TFSI a full, sporty tone and clear crackles on the overrun, without chasing volume for its own sake. With the valves closed, the gases pass through the silencer and the TTS regains a discretion close to delivery condition, welcome on the motorway.
On this turbo engine, the “Manifold” option replaces the downpipe, which contains the catalytic converter at the turbo outlet. For a TTS that keeps its plates and is used often, the 200-cell downpipe remains the right choice since it keeps emissions control; the 100-cell one is accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat version is reserved for track use, for track days. Without an ECU remap, the TTS keeps its 310 hp and gains sound and a little lightness.
Installation requires no welding: band clamps, gaskets, about two hours, and round tips at the rear. The original valves stay controlled by the drive modes; without them, the Rog remote takes care of it. If you are unsure about the material, 304 stainless steel remains the benchmark, with titanium lightening the system by around 40% in a brushed, gold or purple finish.

Questions about the Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8S 2.0 TFSI exhaust.
Can a facelifted TTS 8S, built after 2019, take this exhaust?
The page stops in 2019, and the 2020 to 2023 model years are excluded for the cat-back. For a newer TTS, the VIN lets us look into what exists before you order.
What figures does a remapped 310 hp TTS 8S reach?
The cat-back alone does not require an ECU remap. With the downpipe and a suitable map at an approved tuning centre, the page lists 378 hp and 483 Nm.
What should you know about the vehicle inspection of a modified TTS 8S?
With the valves closed, the TTS returns to a sound close to factory. As long as the TTS runs with the cat-back alone or a 200-cell downpipe, nothing changes for its emissions. The 100-cell will be judged according to the vehicle and your country’s rules; the decat downpipe confines the car to the track.
Stainless steel or titanium for a TTS 8S?
304 stainless steel gives a full, round sound and is the most common choice. Titanium, for its part, removes around 40% of the weight, gives a clearer note at high revs and comes in three colours.
Coupé or Roadster: does the TTS 8S 2.0 TFSI take the same system?
Yes. The coupé and the Roadster take the same Rog system: same chassis, same engine, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8S 2.0 TFSI: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi TTS / TTS Roadster 8S 2.0 TFSI: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
