Which valved exhaust for a BMW 430i F32, F33 or F36?
The Rog system for the BMW 430i B48 is a valved cat-back exhaust for the F32 coupé, F33 convertible and F36 Gran Coupé, built to your VIN in 304 stainless steel or titanium for the 252 hp four-cylinder. Valves open, the coupé gains the rich, muscular sound its looks promise; closed, it stays as discreet as the day it was delivered.
Sound, options and fitting in detail: our BMW 430i F32 guide.
The 4 Series F32 coupé in 430i form combines an elegant design with the B48, a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 252 hp and 350 Nm. Our page covers the F32 coupé, the F33 convertible and the F36 Gran Coupé from 2016 to 2020. The 428i N20, the 435i and the six-cylinder 440i have their own pages.
The gap between the coupé’s looks and its silence is striking: BMW calibrated the B48 for efficiency and discretion, and the factory exhaust finishes the job of making it anonymous. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back gives the 430i a richer, more muscular sound, with clear crackles on the overrun; with the valves closed, it keeps the civility that suits daily journeys. The gain in character can be felt from the very first start-up.
No welding, no cutting: clamps, gaskets and about two hours for a system built to your VIN. The valves follow the factory control if the coupé has it; otherwise, the Rog remote operates them at any time.
Offered under the “Manifold” option, the B48’s downpipe houses the catalytic converter at the turbo outlet; on its own, it brings only voice and a little lightness, with power coming from the map. For a coupé driven during the week as well as at the weekend, the 200-cell leaves emissions control in place; the 100-cell variant is accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat version is reserved for track use. The valved cat-back comes in full-sounding 304 stainless steel or in titanium around 40% lighter, available in three finishes.

Questions about the BMW 430i B48 F32 / F33 / F36 2.0T exhaust.
Are the 430i F33 convertible or the F36 Gran Coupé covered?
Yes. The F32 coupé, the F33 convertible and the F36 Gran Coupé take the same Rog system, as on our 435i and 440i pages: same B48, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the model year before manufacturing.
How much horsepower does a 430i gain in Stage 2?
The page publishes 310 hp and 480 Nm with downpipe and an ECU remap by an approved tuner, against 252 hp and 350 Nm stock; the cat-back on its own requires no electronic changes.
BMW 430i B48 F32 2.0T with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, it returns to a voice close to stock, and the catalytic converter stays active with the factory front section or the 200-cell downpipe; the 100-cell is accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat version is reserved for track use.
430i B48 or 428i N20: same system?
No, each engine has its own page and system; the 430i B48 replaced the 428i in 2016, and your VIN confirms which one you own.
Is titanium worth the extra cost on a 430i?
It makes the system around 40% lighter for the same design and brightens the four-cylinder’s note at high revs; 304 stainless steel remains the most common choice, robust and with a round tone.
BMW 430i B48 F32 / F33 / F36 2.0T: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
BMW 430i B48 F32 / F33 / F36 2.0T: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.

BMW 420i / 428i / 430i F32 / F33 / F36: the complete exhaust system guide
The 4-cylinder 4 Series F32 models are elegant coupés with next to no sound character from the factory. The good news: BMW's turbocharged 4-cylinder engines respond remarkably well to a well-engineered exhaust. The gain in character is immediate, and the...
