The BMW M760i / M760Li G12 exhaust in detail.
At the top of the G12 7 Series, the M760i combines the comfort of a large limousine with the N74, a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 and one of the last twelve-cylinder engines in BMW history: 610 hp and 800 Nm before the facelift, 585 hp and 850 Nm after, sent to all four wheels. Our page describes it for the years 2017 to 2020. The torque arrives so early that the limousine accelerates without ever seeming to try.
A V12 has a unique voice, dense and smooth, where the pulses merge into a continuous breath that grows richer with the revs. In the M760i, the two turbos and above all the factory exhaust, tuned for silence on board, reduce this song to almost nothing. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back reveals a silky rumble at start-up and a broad climb; with the valves closed, the 7 Series keeps the Olympian calm its passengers expect.
For a limousine of this standing, fitting involves no welding: clamps, gaskets, about two hours, and a system made to the VIN, with the factory valve control retained or the Rog remote installed.
This page sells a cat-back only, with no front section option: the V12 and its engine management stay intact, and the system works on the voice and the weight at the rear, without claiming to add horsepower. 304 stainless steel extends the roundness of the twelve cylinders; titanium, around 40% lighter for the same design, gives a clearer note at high revs and comes in brushed, gold or purple, discreet or not.

Questions about the BMW M760i / M760Li G12 exhaust.
Is there a short-wheelbase M760i?
No: the M760i V12 was only built with the long G12 wheelbase, sold as the M760Li xDrive in Europe and the M760i xDrive in the United States. For a 2016, 2021 or 2022 car, outside the years covered by this page, send us the VIN: we check before manufacturing.
Can the N74 V12 be remapped?
The page lists 680 hp and 980 Nm in Stage 2 for both versions, work that involves the forced induction and should be entrusted to a meticulous tuner; the cat-back on its own does not touch the ECU.
BMW M760i G12 N74 V12 6.6 with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
Presented with the valves closed, it regains the standard silence; this cat-back only replaces the rear part of the exhaust, changing nothing in the rest of the system or the engine.
M760i with 610 or 585 hp: what difference does it make for the system?
None for the fitting: the facelifted M760i loses a little power but gains torque, 850 Nm instead of 800 Nm, which only changes the remap figures.
An M760i with its valves open: is it reasonable for a limousine?
That is the whole point of the system: the 7 Series stays calm day to day, and the V12 only reveals itself when you ask, on the road of your choice.
BMW M760i / M760Li G12: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
BMW M760i / M760Li G12: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
