The BMW X6 M60i G06 LCI exhaust in detail.
The facelifted X6 M60i, built since 2023, is one of the last SUVs to keep a V8: 4.4 litres, two turbos housed between the cylinder banks and mild hybridisation that assists it at start-off and when accelerating, for 530 hp and 750 Nm. According to the guide, it shares its system with the facelifted X5 M60i, which keeps its own page, as does the pre-facelift X6 M50i.
This V8 has a deep voice, with the burble typical of eight-cylinders and a rumble that grows richer on deceleration, but the coupé SUV’s factory exhaust only lets a dull vibration through, noticeable mainly at full load. With the valves open, our cat-back makes the start-up audible and gives acceleration a broad, rolling sound; with the valves closed, the X6 regains the hushed silence of a touring car, whether with the family or on business trips.
Without altering the hybrid system, the exhaust, bent to match your VIN, connects with clamps and gaskets, without welding, in about two hours; its valves respond to the factory control or to the Rog remote.
The part offered under the “Manifold” option extends the turbos of this mild-hybrid V8; it only translates into power with a map, and is otherwise limited to the voice and the weight. An X6 built since 2023 is logically kept with emissions control, so in 200-cell form; the 100-cell variant is accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat version is reserved for track use. The cat-back is available in 304 stainless steel and titanium, the latter around 40% lighter and coloured.

Questions about the BMW X6 M60i G06 LCI 4.4TT exhaust.
Should I look for the X6 M60i system on the X5 M60i page?
No, each SUV has its own page, even if our guide presents a system common to both facelifted versions; it is your X6’s VIN that is authoritative before manufacturing.
Is a map needed on the X6 M60i after fitting the cat-back?
None: the factory electronics and the electric assistance stay unchanged. The page shows a Stage 2 figure that we have not been able to verify; we prefer not to repeat it here.
BMW X6 M60i LCI 4.4TT with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the cat-back only or the 200-cell sports catalytic converter, emissions control is retained: present the car with the valves closed. The 100-cell brings more sound and flow, and whether it is accepted at the emissions test depends on the car and local rules; the decat version is intended for track use.
Does the X6 M60i’s mild-hybrid system change anything for the exhaust?
No: it assists the V8 at start-up and during pick-up, and our system only replaces the rear section of the exhaust, without touching that system.
Are the latest X6 M60i models compatible?
Yes: our page covers facelifted X6 M60i models built since 2023. Send us the VIN and we check compatibility before starting manufacturing.
BMW X6 M60i G06 LCI 4.4TT: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
BMW X6 M60i G06 LCI 4.4TT: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.

BMW X5 M60i and X6 M60i G06 LCI: a mild hybrid V8 to set free, the exhaust guide
At a time when the V8 is becoming a rarity, the facelifted X5 M60i and X6 M60i LCI still have one: a 4.4-litre biturbo, backed by mild hybrid assistance, for 530 hp and 750 Nm. Sports car figures, but a...
