The BMW X7 M60i G07 exhaust in detail.
The X7 M60i G07, facelifted in 2023, carries up to seven people with the ease of a large saloon: its 4.4-litre V8, with turbos placed in the vee and mild hybridisation, delivers 530 hp and 750 Nm sent to all four wheels. Our page covers cars built since 2023. Its non-hybrid predecessor, the X7 M50i, is presented on a separate page.
The brand’s largest SUV accelerates like a sports car, in almost total silence: the factory exhaust only lets a breath through, from the third row as from the driver’s seat, even though this V8 has a broad, deep voice. Open the valves on the Rog cat-back: a deep bass at start-up, a full climb when merging and overtaking. Close them: the lounge on wheels regains its serenity. It is not a transformation of the X7, but one more option.
Nothing in the hybrid system or the body is modified: the system, bent to your VIN, is fixed with clamps and gaskets in about two hours, with factory valve control or the Rog remote.
The “Manifold” option sells the front section that follows the turbos; with factory engine management, it affects the voice and the weight, without extra horsepower. On a seven-seater of this generation, most owners go for the 200-cell front section, which preserves emissions control; the 100-cell is accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat version is reserved for track use. Titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel, and its three colours complete the range.

Questions about the BMW X7 M60i G07 4.4TT exhaust.
Can an X7 M60i built before 2023 be fitted with the system?
Our page lists cars built since 2023; for an earlier model year, send us the VIN and we check compatibility before building.
Does the X7 M60i require any electronic work after fitting?
None, as the factory engine management and mild hybrid system stay intact; the page does not publish a Stage 2 figure for this seven-seater anyway.
BMW X7 M60i G07 4.4TT with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the cat-back only or the 200-cell sports catalytic converter, emissions control is retained: present the car with the valves closed. The 100-cell brings more sound and flow, and whether it is accepted at the emissions test depends on the car and local rules; the decat version is intended for track use.
Is the X7 M60i’s mild-hybrid system affected by the installation?
No: our system only replaces the rear section of the V8’s exhaust, without touching the electric assistance or its management.
In the X7’s third row, will the exhaust be heard?
With the valves closed, no: the SUV stays as calm as on delivery; with the valves open, the V8 fills the cabin, at your discretion.
BMW X7 M60i G07 4.4TT: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
BMW X7 M60i G07 4.4TT: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
