The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C8 5.5 exhaust in detail.
The C8-generation Z06 is not content with a more powerful V8: it receives the LT6, a 5.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that revs like a racing engine. 679 hp and 624 Nm, with no turbo or supercharger, for a Corvette designed for the track as much as the road. The page covers the C8 Z06 from 2023; the Stingray Z51 with the 6.2 engine has its own.
With an engine like this, the exhaust decides almost everything you hear, and the factory one holds some of it back. With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back lets the naturally aspirated V8 stretch all the way to the top of the rev counter, without any unnecessary filter. With the valves closed, the Z06 becomes presentable again in town and on the motorway, as close as possible to its stock sound.
The system, built to your VIN and checked before production, fits with clamps and gaskets, without welding, in about two hours. The factory valve control is retained if the car has one; otherwise, the Rog remote and its unit in the boot take over. This page includes no front part: the LT6 has manifolds of its own, and the system connects behind the factory catalytic converters, without an ECU remap. For the Z06’s round tailpipes, two materials: tough 304 stainless steel, or titanium, around 40% lighter for the same design, whose brushed, gold or purple finishes suit a track car.

Questions about the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C8 5.5 exhaust.
Does the Stingray C8 system fit a Z06 5.5?
No. The Z06 C8 gets a different engine, the 5.5-litre LT6, and its own system, described on this page. Send us your Corvette’s VIN: we check compatibility before manufacturing.
Does the Corvette Z06 C8’s LT6 need an ECU remap?
No, the cat-back fits an LT6 on its factory map. On a naturally aspirated engine of this calibre, the system brings voice and a little less weight; the 679 hp remain Chevrolet’s.
Vehicle inspection: what should I bear in mind for a modified Z06 C8?
With the valves closed, the sound returns close to that of a new car, and the factory catalytic converters stay in place since this page does not replace them. That is the configuration in which to present it, with the final judgement resting with the inspection in your country.
Why no manifold option on the Z06 C8?
Because the LT6 has its own manifolds, which no part in our range replaces today. The page therefore focuses on the cat-back, which already provides most of the Z06’s sound character.
Does the Corvette Z06 C8 convertible take the same system as the coupé?
Yes. The coupé and the convertible take the same Rog system: same chassis, same engine, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C8 5.5: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
