The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat exhaust in detail.
The SRT Hellcat is the Challenger taken to the extreme: a 6.2-litre HEMI V8 force-fed by a supercharger, rated at 717 hp at launch then 727 hp in the final model years, with 881 to 889 Nm. The page covers the Hellcat from 2015 to 2023; the V8 5.7 Challenger R/T models have their own pages. The system is built to your VIN, checked before production.
Two instruments play together under the bonnet: the thunder of the HEMI and the whine of the supercharger. The factory exhaust keeps a good part of it silent, even on a car that embraces noise as its identity. With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back delivers a cavernous rumble at idle and a thunderous charge under full acceleration, punctuated by bangs. When you close the valves, the Hellcat tucks its 717 hp behind an almost well-mannered sound.
Under the Hellcat, the exhaust is installed with band clamps and gaskets, no welding, in about two hours on a lift, with valves that follow the factory control if the car has one, or the two-button Rog remote.
The “Manifold” option on the page replaces the front section carrying the catalytic converters of this supercharged V8. Without an ECU remap, it brings voice and a little less weight, not power; with a remap, it releases the flow that the ECU turns into horsepower. In the 200-cell version, the Hellcat keeps its emissions control; in the 100-cell version, it will be accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country; and the decat version is reserved for track use, and nowhere else for a Hellcat. 304 stainless steel and titanium, around 40% lighter, in brushed, gold or purple, finish the system right up to the round tailpipe.

Questions about the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat V8 6.2 exhaust.
Does the Hellcat 6.2 system fit a Challenger R/T?
No: the V8 5.7 R/T has its own pages, one for 2009-2014 and the other for 2016-2022. This one targets the supercharged SRT Hellcat 6.2 from 2015 to 2023, with a VIN check before manufacturing.
Does the Hellcat’s supercharged V8 need an ECU remap after fitting?
Not for the cat-back, which keeps the factory map and the original 717 to 727 hp. An ECU remap only becomes useful with the front section, to exploit the freed-up flow; that is where the real power lever lies.
For the vehicle inspection, how should a modified Challenger Hellcat V8 be prepared?
Close the valves, to bring the supercharged V8 close to its stock voice, and keep the original or 200-cell front section, which leaves the catalytic converters active. The 100-cell is accepted or not depending on the car and your country; the decat version is reserved for the circuit.
On a Hellcat 6.2, should you choose the factory control or the Rog remote?
If your Hellcat has factory valves, the exhaust takes over their control and the drive modes keep deciding. Otherwise, the Rog remote opens or closes at any time, on the driveway as on the motorway.
Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat V8 6.2: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
