The Dodge Charger V8 6.4 exhaust (2012 to 2014) in detail.
In the 2012 to 2014 Charger, the 6.4-litre HEMI owes its breath to displacement alone: 477 hp and 637 Nm, drawn from a naturally aspirated V8 with a single camshaft in the block, pushrods and hemispherical combustion chambers. Torque everywhere, instant throttle response, and yet a voice that the factory exhaust smooths out until it becomes anonymous.
The page is for this saloon in the 2012 to 2014 model years; the facelifted 2015 to 2019 Charger 6.4 and the 5.7 V8 Charger R/T each have their own page. Your VIN, requested when you order, lets us check compatibility before starting to build the system.
The HEMI 6.4 has a heavy voice to match its displacement: deep and choppy at idle, it becomes a continuous roar at full load. With the Rog valved cat-back, also known as a valve exhaust, that beat can be heard from start-up, every acceleration roars and downshifts crack, with the valves open; once the valves are closed again, the Charger takes on the demeanour of a calm large saloon.
For fitting, about two hours is enough, without welding, with clamps and gaskets, the factory valve control staying in place if it exists and the Rog remote, with its box in the boot, taking over otherwise. No front part is offered for this HEMI: the system connects behind the factory catalytic converters, without an ECU remap, and leaves the 477 hp as they are. 304 stainless steel for year-round driving, titanium around 40% lighter for weight watchers, in brushed, gold or purple on the Charger’s round tips.

Questions about the Dodge Charger V8 6.4 exhaust.
Can a facelifted Charger V8 6.4, from 2015 or later, take this exhaust?
It has its own page, covering the 2015-2019 period. This one is designed for the 2012 to 2014 V8 6.4 Charger; send us your VIN if you are unsure about your model year, and we check before manufacturing.
Does the Charger’s HEMI 6.4 need an ECU remap with the cat-back?
No. With no front part on this page, the V8 keeps its map and its 477 hp. The system acts on the voice, on the breathing at the outlet and on the weight at the rear; on a naturally aspirated engine of this size, it is above all the character that changes.
Modified Charger V8 6.4 and vehicle inspection: what is the procedure?
Valves closed for the inspection, with no other preparation. As this page leaves the factory catalytic converters in place, emissions control is not modified, and the HEMI presents with a sound close to that of the standard saloon.
With the Rog system, does the Charger V8 6.4 stay discreet in town?
Yes, as soon as the valves are closed: the saloon crosses a town centre or an underground car park without fuss. You open them again on the way out, with a touch on the Rog remote or via the factory control.
Dodge Charger V8 6.4: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.

Dodge Charger V8 6.4: the big naturally aspirated HEMI, the exhaust system guide
