The Dodge Charger V8 6.4 exhaust (2015 to 2019) in detail.
Deep and choppy at idle, then continuous like a storm at full load: the facelifted Charger’s HEMI 6.4 has a voice to match its displacement. From 2015 to 2019, the factory exhaust only delivers a polite version, where you sense the potential without ever really hearing it.
After the facelift, this naturally aspirated V8, with its central camshaft and hemispherical combustion chambers, reaches 492 hp and 644 Nm, with the same instant throttle response. This page is dedicated to it; the 2012 to 2014 Charger 6.4 and the R/T models with the 5.7 engine have their own pages, and we confirm your saloon’s compatibility from its VIN before manufacturing.
Open the valves of the Rog valved cat-back, and the HEMI’s beat can be heard from start-up, followed by a full roar with every burst of acceleration and downshifts that crack; close them, and the Charger regains the calm of a grand tourer, in town as on the motorway. The system fits with clamps and gaskets, without welding, in about two hours; if the car has factory valves, their control is retained, otherwise the two-button Rog remote operates them.
This page offers no front section for the 6.4-litre: the factory catalytic converters stay where they are, so does the map, and the 492 hp stay unchanged. What you choose is the material, with 304 stainless steel and its round sound, or titanium, which removes around 40% of the weight for the same design and comes in brushed, gold or purple beneath the facelifted bumper.

Questions about the Dodge Charger V8 6.4 exhaust.
Is my 2014 Charger V8 6.4 covered by this 2015-2019 page?
No, the 2012 to 2014 Charger 6.4 has its own page. This one targets the 2015 to 2019 facelifted saloon; if in doubt about the model year, your VIN lets us decide before manufacturing.
Is an ECU remap needed to fit the system on a facelifted Charger 6.4?
None. The cat-back fits behind the factory front section and works with the factory ECU. The HEMI keeps its 492 hp; what changes is its voice and the weight at the rear.
Does a modified facelifted Charger V8 6.4 need any preparation for vehicle inspection?
Simply close the valves: the V8 returns to a sound close to stock. As this page does not replace the catalytic converters, emissions control remains that of the original car during the test.
Does the Charger V8 6.4 drone on long journeys with the Rog system?
Not with the valves closed: at a constant speed, the cabin stays composed, as in a standard Charger. The HEMI’s roar only returns when you ask, via the factory control or the Rog remote.
Dodge Charger V8 6.4: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
