The Audi S3 8Y saloon exhaust in detail.
This system is designed for the S3 8Y saloon, and for it alone. The engine is the 310 hp, 400 Nm 2.0 TFSI EA888, a turbocharged four-cylinder that gives a lot and makes almost no noise. The page runs from 2020 to 2024; if you drive a Sportback, send the VIN before ordering and we will check.
Beneath its factory exhaust, the S3’s TFSI keeps a character few would suspect. Freed by our valved cat-back, it takes on a full, sporty tone, with clear crackles when you lift off the throttle. Nothing tiring about it, though: close the valves, and the saloon returns to a sound level close to when it left the factory, the one that suits family journeys.
On the fitting side, nothing is welded. The pipes connect with band clamps and gaskets, and an equipped workshop completes the fitting in about two hours, with round tailpipes. To control the valves, two routes: the Audi drive modes if the car has factory valves, or the Rog remote, with its box in the boot and two buttons.
Finally, the page offers the “Manifold” option, which on this turbo replaces the downpipe and its catalytic converter. 200-cell version: emissions control maintained. 100-cell version: accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country. Decat version: reserved for track use. If the S3 keeps its Audi map, the 310 hp stays unchanged: the part adds sound and takes off a little weight. In titanium, the S3 8Y’s system becomes around 40% lighter than in 304 stainless steel, with three finishes.

Questions about the Audi S3 8Y 2.0 TFSI exhaust.
Does the S3 8Y saloon system fit the S3 Sportback?
It is designed for the saloon. For a Sportback, do not order blind: send us your VIN, and we check compatibility and reply before any manufacturing.
What is the point of remapping an S3 8Y?
None for the cat-back alone, which keeps the factory map. With the downpipe, the ECU remap makes all the difference: the Stage 2 figures published for the 310 hp S3 8Y are 440 hp and 550 Nm. It also deals with the engine warning light that a sport catalytic converter can trigger.
When it is time for vehicle inspection, what do you recommend for an S3 8Y saloon?
Present it with the valves closed and with intact emissions control, meaning cat-back only or a 200-cell downpipe. A 100-cell downpipe is judged depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, and the decat version is intended for the track only.
How long does it take to fit out my S3 8Y?
Twenty working days separate the confirmation of the order from delivery, manufacturing included and delivery free. The garage of your choice then fits the exhaust in about two hours.
Audi S3 8Y 2.0 TFSI: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
Audi S3 8Y 2.0 TFSI: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
