Which valved exhaust for a BMW X1 M35i U11?
The Rog system for the BMW X1 M35i xDrive U11 (from 2023) is a valved cat-back exhaust in 304 stainless steel or titanium, built to your VIN for the 300 hp, 400 Nm B48 2.0-litre turbo. If the SUV has factory valves, the driving modes keep controlling them; valves open, the four-cylinder's raspy edge comes through every time you accelerate.
Sound, options and fitting in detail: our BMW X1 M35i U11 guide.
In M35i form, the X1 U11 becomes a compact SUV with a sports car temperament: a 2.0-litre B48 turbo pushed to 300 hp and 400 Nm, four-wheel drive and BMW M development. Strong acceleration, instant response: a real sports car in a family format. This page covers the X1 M35i built since 2023; the previous-generation X1 F48 has its own page.
The B48 has a dry, energetic voice, hoarser than you would imagine for a four-cylinder, with turbo whoosh audible under acceleration. The factory exhaust, still that of a family vehicle, delivers a polished, distant version of it. With the valves open, our cat-back brings out that hoarse grain, with every acceleration and every gear change becoming audible; with the valves closed, the X1 M35i becomes calm and pleasant again, for the school run as for holidays.
Two hours in the workshop are enough: the system, bent for this SUV according to its VIN, connects with clamps and gaskets, no welding. If the X1 has factory valves, the drive modes stay in charge; otherwise, the Rog remote, independent of the mode, takes over.
This page sells a cat-back only: no front section option, an engine and ECU that stay as BMW M set them up, and a system that transforms the voice and slightly lightens the rear, without promising extra horsepower. Tough 304 stainless steel suits an SUV driven all year round; titanium, around 40% lighter for the same design, brings a brushed, gold or purple finish to the tailpipes.

Questions about the BMW X1 M35i U11 2.0T exhaust.
Are the most recent X1 M35i models covered?
Our page only describes the first two years of production; for a younger model, the VIN lets us check compatibility with no obligation.
Does the X1 M35i need an ECU remap once fitted?
No, the cat-back works with the original map, and no Stage 2 figure is published on the page for this model; so we do not quote one.
BMW X1 M35i xDrive U11 B48 2.0T with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, it returns to a sound close to stock; this cat-back only replaces the rear section of the exhaust, without changing anything else in the factory system or the engine.
Do the X1 M35i’s driving modes still control the valves?
If the SUV left the factory with valves, yes: the exhaust takes over their control. Otherwise, the Rog remote opens and closes whatever the mode.
Can a 300 hp family SUV stay discreet?
Yes, with the valves closed it keeps its factory calm, for town and long journeys alike; the B48’s voice only appears when you ask for it.
BMW X1 M35i U11 2.0T: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
BMW X1 M35i U11 2.0T: straight pipe or resonator?
On this model, two characters at the same price: the straight pipe for the raw sound of your engine, unfiltered, or the resonator for a rounder and slightly softer voice. Either way, the exhaust stays fully sporty. Learn more: Exhaust resonator: what does it do? Straight pipe or resonator, which sound to choose.
