The Ferrari 812 Superfast / GTS exhaust in detail.
800 hp at 8,900 rpm and 718 Nm: the 812 carries the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 ever fitted in a front-engined car, a 6.5-litre that closes a lineage and that our page covers for the 2017 to 2020 model years. The F12berlinetta before it has its own system; the 812 GTS takes the same system as the Superfast.
This twelve-cylinder only reveals its true tone at the top of the rev counter, and the factory exhaust conscientiously smothers it. The Rog valved cat-back releases the harmonics the regulations held back: with the valves open, the climb through the revs becomes total, right up to the crystalline cry of the last few thousand rpm. With the valves closed, the 812 resumes its grand touring manners.
The front section is an option, named “Manifold” on the page: these are the pipes placed after the manifolds, with the catalytic converter. On a naturally aspirated engine, the gain exists but remains modest, 3 to 8%, and only comes with an ECU remap. The 200-cell version keeps emissions control, and the 100-cell will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules.
No welding is needed under the 812: band clamps, gaskets and a lift are enough, for about two hours of work. Factory valves are retained if your car has them, otherwise the Rog remote. As for materials, 304 stainless steel gives the twelve-cylinder a full voice, titanium a more crystalline note for around 40% less weight for the same design, in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Ferrari 812 Superfast / GTS 6.5 V12 exhaust.
My 812 is a GTS convertible: is the Superfast system meant for it?
Yes. The 812 Superfast and the 812 GTS take the same Rog system: same chassis, same 6.5-litre V12, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Does the 812 need an ECU remap to enjoy the system?
No, the cat-back works without touching the ECU: it acts on the voice and the mass. An ECU remap only makes sense with the sports front pipes, and on this naturally aspirated V12 the gain remains measured; discuss it with your tuner.
Ferrari 812 Superfast V12 6.5 with a Rog exhaust: what should you know about vehicle inspection?
With the valves closed, the 812 returns to a presence close to stock. Keep the factory front section or choose the 200-cell pipes to retain emissions control. With 100-cell pipes, everything depends on the vehicle and your country’s rules, which accept them or not; without its catalytic converter, an 812 is reserved for track use, which remains the exception for a GT of this calibre.
How are the valves controlled on an 812?
Two solutions. On an 812 delivered with factory valves, our system plugs into their control: the mode selector keeps deciding, with no extra electronics. Otherwise, the Rog remote, linked to a box in the boot, opens and closes them at any time, whatever the mode.
Ferrari 812 Superfast / GTS 6.5 V12: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
