The Ferrari F430 / F430 Spider exhaust in detail.
The F430 is the gateway to the great thrill of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated V8, and its value is rising steadily. Its flat-plane-crank 4.3-litre, 490 hp and 465 Nm, climbs towards 8,500 rpm with a piercing scream the world associates with Maranello. Our page covers the 2004 to 2009 model years; the 430 Scuderia and 16M have their own system, and your VIN lets us check yours before manufacturing.
From the factory, this V8 already howls magnificently, but the period exhaust holds back the upper register, that of the high harmonics. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back reduces back pressure and reaches for that register: every gear becomes an event, every tunnel a temptation. With the valves closed, the F430 stays livable for early morning drives.
The catalysed front section, for its part, is ordered under the “Manifold” option. On this naturally aspirated V8, its contribution is real but modest, 3 to 8%, and only appears with an ECU remap: the page then lists 540 hp and 505 Nm in Stage 2, and the 200-cell version leaves emissions control in place.
The system attaches with clamps and gaskets, without welding, in about two hours, and the factory exhaust can be kept for the car’s value. The valves follow the factory control if the F430 has one, otherwise the Rog remote. As for material, an F430 often calls for titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, finished in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Ferrari F430 / F430 Spider V8 exhaust.
Is the F430 Spider covered by this page?
Yes. The F430 and the F430 Spider take the same Rog system, with the same 4.3-litre V8 and the same fitting; the 430 Scuderia and the Scuderia Spider 16M have their own page. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
With a sport front section, does the F430 really gain horsepower?
A little, and only with an ECU remap: 540 hp and 505 Nm at Stage 2 according to our page, against 490 hp as standard. On this naturally aspirated V8, the gain remains measured; the cat-back alone does without any map.
Which F430 configuration should be presented at vehicle inspection?
An F430 with its valves closed, back to its factory discretion, with the original front section or 200 cells for a catalytic converter that does its job. 100-cell parts are accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country; the version without a catalytic converter is reserved for track use.
Does fitting a Rog system reduce an F430’s value?
The system fits without cutting or welding: the factory exhaust can be refitted at any time. Keep it, as it guarantees you can return the car to its factory configuration.
Ferrari F430 / F430 Spider V8: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
