The Ferrari Roma / Roma Spider exhaust in detail.
The Roma embodies a certain dolce vita: a GT with a very pure design, elegance before display, and a 620 hp, 760 Nm twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet. Its factory sonic restraint suits the character, but many owners want to be able to step out of it, and it is for them that the valves exist. The page applies to the Roma built since 2020, and we read every car’s VIN before starting manufacturing.
This V8 was praised for its almost naturally aspirated response, but regulations impose their filters and part of the cry has been lost. With the valves open, the Rog cat-back goes looking for that missing part: presence restored at high revs, refined bangs on the overrun; with the valves closed, the Roma crosses town incognito.
The V8’s turbos are followed by a catalysed downpipe, replaced under the “Manifold” option. The Roma only draws horsepower from it after an ECU remap, up to the 730 hp and 860 Nm our page publishes for Stage 2; without a map, the part thickens the voice and lightens the whole a little, and its 200-cell version keeps the catalytic converter active.
The workshop allows about two hours, clamps, gaskets and no welding under the GT. Factory valves keep their control through the drive modes if the car has them; otherwise, the Rog remote operates them. Titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, comes in brushed, gold or purple, for a GT that takes care of its rear end too.

Questions about the Ferrari Roma / Roma Spider V8 exhaust.
Can the open-top Roma Spider take this system?
Yes. The Roma and the Roma Spider, launched in 2023, take the same Rog system: same chassis, same 620 hp V8, same clamp-and-gasket fitting. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.
Downpipe and ECU remap on a Roma: what figures?
110 hp more than stock: our page quotes 730 hp and 860 Nm in Stage 2 with a downpipe and an ECU remap. Ordered on its own, the cat-back needs no change to the ECU.
Can the Roma fitted with a Rog system be presented at the vehicle inspection?
Close the valves and the Roma regains its factory restraint; keep the factory front section or the 200-cell downpipe, and its catalytic converter stays active. The 100-cell version is accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules, whereas a decat Roma is reserved for track use.
Does an equipped Roma remain a comfortable GT?
That is the whole point of the valves: when closed, the gases flow through the silencer designed for cruising, with no drone at a steady speed. You open them for a great road, and close them to arrive discreetly.
