    A question about this exhaust?

    FerrariF8 Tributo / Spider

The Ferrari F8 Tributo / F8 Spider exhaust in detail.

This page is for the F8 Spider, the open-top version of the F8: a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 with 720 hp and 770 Nm, 2019 to 2023 model years. The F8 Tributo, the coupé of the same generation, takes the same system as the Spider. The 488, another 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, has its own system.

This engine is deliberately kept on a leash by its factory exhaust, which wants to stay discreet, and with the roof open that is all the more frustrating. With the valves open, the Rog valved cat-back lets the V8’s rage return at high revs, along with sharp cracks on the overrun; with the valves closed, the Spider becomes a car you can take out early on a Sunday without waking the street.

Under the “Manifold” option, the page sells the downpipe, the pipe that starts at the turbo and contains the catalytic converter. Without an ECU remap, its effect is limited to sound and a little weight; with one, it becomes the lever for power. Chosen in 200-cell form, it lets the F8 control emissions normally, while the decat version is reserved for track use.

Fitting under the Spider remains simple: clamps, gaskets, no welding, and about two hours with a lift. If your F8 Spider has factory valves, they keep their control; otherwise, the Rog remote opens and closes them at the press of a button. For a car that is looked at as much as it is listened to, titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, comes in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Ferrari F8 Tributo / F8 Spider 3.9 V8 biturbo exhaust.

My F8 is a Tributo coupé: can I order this Spider system?

Yes. The F8 Tributo and the F8 Spider share the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 and take the same Rog system, fitted with clamps and gaskets. Your VIN is only used to confirm the version and model year before manufacturing.

Downpipe fitted on the F8 Spider: does the map need to follow?

Yes if you are after power: the downpipe frees the flow, and the ECU remap turns it into horsepower and recalibrates the post-cat sensor. No Stage 2 figure is published on our page for this model; the result depends on the tuner.

What precautions at vehicle inspection for an F8 Spider?

Close the valves: the Spider returns to a sound level close to stock. With its factory front section, or a 200-cell downpipe, the Spider keeps treating its gases as from the factory. A 100-cell downpipe will be accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country; in decat form, the Spider is reserved for track use.

How long does delivery of the F8 Spider exhaust take?

Manufacturing starts once your VIN has been checked; allow 20 working days until delivery. Free shipping, insured and handed over against signature, with tracking sent as soon as it ships.

Ferrari F8 Tributo / F8 Spider 3.9 V8 biturbo: Does a valved exhaust system drone?

No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
