Which valved exhaust for a Porsche 918 Spyder?
The Rog system for the Porsche 918 Spyder is a valved cat-back exhaust in 304 stainless steel or titanium, designed for the top-exit layout and built to your VIN, for a hybrid with a combined 887 hp and 1,280 Nm built around a naturally aspirated 4.6-litre V8. Valves open, it releases the V8's highest harmonics; closed, the 918 keeps its civility.
Sound, options and fitting in detail: our Porsche 918 Spyder guide.
One of the holy trinity of hypercars of its generation, the 918 Spyder pairs a 4.6-litre naturally aspirated V8 derived from the RS Spyder race car with a hybrid powertrain: 887 hp and 1,280 Nm. Its V8 screams beyond 9,000 rpm through exhaust outlets raised above the engine, a unique layout. Our page covers the 2013 to 2015 model years, and each car is checked by VIN before manufacturing.
On a car of this standing, every intervention must honour the original: materials, fit, respect for the high-exit layout. The Rog cat-back is designed to save weight and release the V8’s highest harmonics, with the valves open; with the valves closed, the 918 keeps its civility. It is a goldsmith’s work, and we invite you to write to us to discuss it before any configuration.
The page also offers the catalysed front section, under the “Manifold” option. On this naturally aspirated V8, its benefit for power remains modest, 3 to 8%, and assumes an ECU remap; the page publishes 957 hp and 1,370 Nm at Stage 2, and its 200-cell version keeps the hypercar’s emissions control intact.
No welding touches the 918: the system is fixed with clamps and gaskets, in about two hours for a workshop used to exceptional cars. The factory valve control is retained if the hypercar has one, otherwise the Rog remote. Titanium, around 40% lighter than 304 stainless steel for the same design, extends this car’s obsession with weight and comes in brushed, gold or purple.

Questions about the Porsche 918 Spyder exhaust.
Why write to us before configuring the system for a 918 Spyder?
Because a 918 is not treated like any other car: the high-exit layout and the rarity of each example mean we need to talk first. We also check your VIN before starting any manufacturing.
Does the 918 benefit from an ECU remap with the sport front section?
At Stage 2, our data quotes 957 hp and 1,370 Nm, i.e. 70 hp and 90 Nm more than the stock hypercar. On this naturally aspirated V8, the front section’s contribution remains modest; the cat-back on its own needs no map at all.
How does a modified 918 Spyder present in front of a vehicle inspector?
Valves closed for a voice close to stock, factory or 200-cell front section for an active catalytic converter. A 100-cell version will be accepted or not depending on the vehicle and your country’s rules; the decat 918, for its part, is reserved for track use.
Are the 918’s high-mounted exits retained?
Yes: the Rog system is designed with full respect for the high-exit layout. That design is what gives the 918 its voice, and we do not alter it.
Porsche 918 Spyder: Does a valved exhaust system drone?
No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
