The entry point to Porsche’s SUV range, the four-cylinder Macan of the 95B.2 and 95B.3 phases relies on a 2.0-litre turbo with direct injection, 245 then 265 hp and 370 then 400 Nm, with four-wheel drive. On this 2.0-litre, the catalysed downpipe that starts at the turbo is replaced under the “Manifold” option. Without an ECU remap, it only changes the sound and a little of the mass; with one, it becomes the lever for power, depending on the car and the tuner, and ordered with 200 cells it lets the catalytic converter do its job.
For fitting, about two hours is enough, with clamps and gaskets, no welding or cutting. A Macan 2.0 with factory valves keeps them under its own control; otherwise, a Rog remote fills that role. 304 stainless steel is full-sounding and durable, titanium around 40% lighter for the same design and finished in brushed, gold or purple; the tips match in chrome, gloss black or blued titanium.
