    A question about this exhaust?

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta 940 exhaust in detail.

At Alfa Romeo, engineering has always been a matter of temperament, and the Giulietta 940 carries that heritage in an everyday hatchback. In the version this page covers, its turbo engine delivers 235 hp and 340 Nm, from 2010 to 2020; yet modern engines have been tamed by regulations, and the factory sound does not tell the legend of the Biscione.

The Rog valved cat-back, also known as a valve exhaust, tells its story: a full, Latin tone, assertive character under load, clear crackles on the overrun when the valves are open. Closed again, they give the compact back its everyday discretion, in town as on long stages.

We build the system to your VIN, checked before production; it fits without welding, with clamps and gaskets, in about two hours, with the original valve control if the Giulietta has it, and the Rog remote otherwise.

The Giulietta entrusts emissions control to a downpipe placed just after the turbo, a part the page offers to replace under the “Manifold” option. Fitted alone, it changes the voice and a few kilos; it is the ECU remap that turns it into horsepower, with the result depending on the tune. A Giulietta that also handles daily journeys will keep the 200-cell downpipe, the one that maintains emissions control; the 100-cell will be accepted or not depending on the car and the rules in your country, and the decat version is reserved for track use, far from this hatchback’s purpose. 304 stainless steel and titanium, around 40% lighter and offered in three colours, share the choice of material.

Questions about the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 940 exhaust.

My Giulietta 940 is not the 235 hp version: can I still order?

Not without checking: the page only publishes figures for the 235 hp, 340 Nm version, without detailing the Giulietta’s other engines, and it is your VIN, checked before manufacturing, that will tell whether the system is suitable.

Does the Giulietta 940’s map need changing with the Rog system?

It can stay stock as long as only the cat-back is fitted; an ECU remap only makes sense with the downpipe, to turn that flow into power according to the chosen tune.

For the vehicle inspection of a modified Giulietta 940, what should be checked?

That the valves are closed and that the downpipe is factory or 200-cell: catalytic converter active, voice close to standard. A Giulietta with the 100-cell will be judged according to the vehicle and your country, and a decat Giulietta stays on the track.

On long family journeys, does the equipped Giulietta 940 stay relaxing?

Yes, with the valves closed: the cabin stays calm at a steady speed, and the Alfa temperament only returns when you ask for it, via the factory control or the Rog remote.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta 940: Does a valved exhaust system drone?

No. With the valves closed, the gases flow through the whole rear silencer and the cabin stays calm at a steady speed. Our Rog exhausts are designed to avoid drone. Learn more: Why our systems stay calm on the motorway.
